Welcome to the 20th ‘My Dolly Week’! I don’t think that I ever had such an intense dolly week like the last seven days! I had so much fun and learned a lot! 😀 There were also some announcements from Groove about future collaborations and I found a nice way to pre-order this autumn’s Pullips without having to pay for them in advance!
It was finally time for Ruri’s fashion post, since I had to wait for some things to arrive and I had a lot of fun to make a faux-diorama for her. One of my favorite pictures, I especially saved for today, is this photo above, in which she looks super proud of her Shinzi Katoh Toy Story poster (which is actually a post card). It is my dream to create more with my own hands and one day make a real diorama for my cuties!
Ruri’s Poison Girl’s Dolls sister Mayu arrived on Friday and she is the sweetest. I hope, I am not the only collector out there, who sometimes just relaxes by simply admiring her dolls with an absent-minded grin on her face! When I look at them, I feel like I am in a dream. 😉 I am in the middle of planning Mayu’s solo fashion shoot and a joint one with Ruri!
After I have come to enjoy custom dolls so much and started to customize Luise (Pullip Lupinus) last week, she also got a new wig from Leeke World in the mail a few days ago. It is not attached to her head yet, but I decided on this lavender color and bob style, which also has a clip-on ponytail. The post about changing her eyechips will be up in the next days and I am also going to make a Leeke World haul and review on the five wigs I have bought. In the same vein of Komonogatari announcements, I removed Pullip Marie‘s wig and eyechips this week and will share her new look, once my order from Lullaby For Dolls has arrived. If you follow me on Instagram, you might know that I like to share these fun things on my Instagram Stories during the week! 😉
Now onto the official announcements from Groove this week! This week seems to have been a Japanese fashion collaboration lover’s dream! At first, we got to see two designs for the collaboration with GOUK and GOUKya, which Groove started to tease about weeks ago. The first for GOUKya is a new take on Little Red Riding Hood, which is interesting, since there has been a Pullip Red Riding Hood and Pullip Bloody Red Hood in the past. The second outfit for GOUK is very ‘Pretty in Blue’ and still has a traditional charm. I like both designs, but in the end the doll itself will be the selling factor for me.
After both versions of Pullip La Robe Vert Claire and both Favorite Ribbon Pullips, there will be a new collaboration with Baby, The Stars Shine Bright and Chinese kawaii fashion magazine Girlism, which will host a design contest. The winning design might be made into a doll or an outfit!
Groove also shared a picture of Pullip Eternal Sailor Moon, who is on display in the Azone Labelshop in Akihabara’s Radio Kaikan. She is even prettier in real life and I decided to pre-order her. I also pre-ordered Belle from the Disney Doll Collection and decided to go with AmiAmi, since you can pre-order on their site without having to pay beforehand. It is fine to have the money ready, once the doll is in stock.
After the flood of Blythe news from last week, all we got was the first official stock photo from this year’s anniversary Blythe Garden of Joy, although another picture was already released on the cover of next year’s Blythe calendars. Her hair color is so beautiful and there is something so serene about her! She will be released in September and hope to see her in Japan in person.
This concludes my Dolly Week and I hope that you had a great dolly week, too! What do you think about Groove’s fashion brand collaborations? Thank you so much for reading!

I love it! Slowly we are getting new Pullip announcements! Hopefully we will get real photos soon!
I have a question – do you read/speak Japanese? You always have so much news, do you get it straight from the source?
I hope so, too! The announcements are nice, but there are still so many open questions regarding the dolls themselves. Not enough to be excited or not! Maybe next week! 😀
I am in the middle of learning Japanese. My fiancé is a big help, because he studied Japanese at university and if he is not around, I like to use Google Translate! 😀 I hope to one day be at conversational level!
I need to practice my Japanese more! I realized during my trip how much I don’t know. I’m going to try to find a conversation class. がんばります!
Yeeesss, がんばり we must! 😀 Sorry for the bad pun! >< Conversation class sounds great! I am also thinking of finding a tandem. Somebody, who speaks Japanese and is learning German, so I could help them, too. I even got a book to learn Kanji from the Pokémon Center last year! 😉 Did you by any chance see it?
