It has been a while, since I wrote about anything One Piece related, which is one of my favorite manga and anime. I first discovered a One Piece Halloween gashapon series in Japan in 2015 and I could not help myself, but fall in love with Luffy’s figure. I just think that he is the cutest with this big Jack-o’-lantern on his head. Getting him from a capsule machine was next to impossible, but after getting lots of devil fruit keychains (which I am not collecting, by the way) I finally got him from a machine on the last day of our trip in front of the Shounen Jump Store in Tokyo Station.
Little did I know that in the following years similar Halloween Luffys were going to be released. Last year there were figures for your mobile phone in the gashapon machines and this year, the keychains were back! 2017’s Luffy is basically no different from 2015 with the minor differences of Luffy’s skin looking not as grey, wearing dark red pants instead of blue ones and having his eyes closed. Those figures are so cute, hanging with sunken shoulders like fruit! ๐
Another reappearing character for the One Piece Halloween gashapon series is Trafalgar Law. Trafalgar Law is one of One Piece’s most popular characters and featured super regularly in their gashapon series. For me this is the first Halloween Law in my collection and he is amazing in his little black and red vampire suit with little white sharp teeth. I also love his tiny golden earrings!
The final character keychain from 2017 is Sanji from the Strawhat Pirates, who is also rocking a Jack-o’-lantern inspired hat with a broad brim. Sanji is known for his curly eyebrows and even the pumpkin on his head has them, which is pure attention to detail. He is wearing a striped black and white suit with purple details, which is lovely for Halloween!
One of my favorite characters from One Piece is Portgas D. Ace and he was featured in the Halloween gashapon series from 2015 and similar to Law from 2017, he is rocking a vampire outfit with some tiny white teeth. Instead of his ususal strawhat he is wearing a black top hat with his trademark goggles, which have a lovely metallic blue shimmer to them.
Not from a Halloween series, but still of the same kind like the other figures, is this cute Sabo keychain from 2015. He is dressed in his regular clothes, but due to them being dark, elegant and somewhat mecha-inspired, he just fits the rest of my characters so well that I wanted to mention him. Nobody puts Sabo in a corner!
Did your favorite One Piece character make an entrance in a Halloween gashapon series yet?
Thank you so much for watching!

These are so cute! But I know nothing about One Piece. I should check it out (in all (none) of my spare time!)
Haha, I know the feeling! ๐ One Piece will wait for you…checking it out will definitely look overwhelming at first, but I really love it! <3
