Happy Sunday, everybody! Halloween is so close! Only two days of October are left and it is going to be quite hard for me to let go of everything spooky…although to be completely honest, my dollies do not actually qualify as scary! 😉
Mayu and Ruri are trying hard to get their hands on the biggest amount of Halloween candy they can find. If they succeed, will be revealed on October 31st on my Instagram! 😀 I also already heard them talking about their costumes for next year. So we might have to keep that in mind for our future purchases. >< Sometimes I feel like they absolutely have me wrapped around their tiny plastic fingers!
A really lovely costume would be one of the upcoming Revolutionary Girl Utena outfits sets, which I am still not done hyping about. This week more than ever because I actually watched all 39 episodes of the anime in the last seven days. It helped that there were quite a lot of recap episodes and many scenes were repetitive, which is nothing new for the Magical Girl genre. You might have guessed that I got very emotionally involved in it and am now looking forward to the upcoming Utena Pullip even more. Anthy is kind of making me sad in the style she is coming in. I would have to customize her to remind me of a happier part of the story. Thankfully, my MVP is little monkey Chu Chu, who comes with Anthy’s school uniform – I have absolutely no debates, whether to get this set or not! 😀
We are also soon going to see Groove’s newest collaboration with lolita fashion label Baby, The Stars Shine Bright, presented yesterday for the first time at an event in Shanghai with Chinese magazine Girlism. The featured outfit should be this dress and I cannot wait to see it on a Pullip. We are also still in the dark, if we are talking about an actual official release. But I would not mind to add another sweet lolita to my collection!
To prove that the witchy spirit does not have to end at the end of October, a new Neo-Blythe called Chocolat will be released in December. Chocolat is a little witch and released in collaboration with Sugar Sugar Rune, a manga from Moyoco Anno. I have to admit that I am not familiar with it at all, but I googled the artstyle and it is very cute and sparked my interest. Now all we have to do is wait for the actual promotional photographs!
Junie Moon also released pictures of new products from their Junie Moon Dollywear line, which features classic white and blue Alice in Wonderland dresses. It is nowhere near an unique concept, but they are very pretty and worth to take a look at!
Next week, I am looking forward to receive some dolly mail and I am also in the middle of customizing some of my cuties. There are some things I still haven’t totally figured out, but I will share them all with you, once the time is right!
How has your Dolly Week been? Are you looking forward to some new additions or styles for your dolls? Were you as touched by the Utena anime as I was? So many questions! ><
Thank you so much for reading!

I’m so glad you finally watched Utena! It’s such a sad, complex, moving anime series, isn’t it? It sticks with you. I just love the crazy, crazy dueling scenes. It’s such a unique story!
I love the new (hopefully) Pullip
doll! Here’s hoping groove puts out more dolls in the near future.
I think the Blythes this year have just been phenomenal. I have a feeling we will look back at this year as one of the best release years. Lots of beautiful, fun dolls with great outfits. Now if they could only fix their wigs, I would be so happy!
I have been soooo busy lately. I haven’t had any dolly time (sob!) I hope things slow down… except The holidays are coming and I’m sure they won’t!!!
Have a happy Halloween! I still have to buy candy for our trick or treaters!!!
You are absolutely right! Utena was such an emotional anime with beautiful symbolism. There is something about it, which is making me extremely sad, but also hopeful. It captures the essence of growing up so perfectly, which is at the same time something every adult can empathize with. Simply beautiful!
I am desperately hoping for new Pullips. Of course, I do love the anime releases, but there should be more variety in the aspect of Pullips being fashion dolls. That being said, Takara Tomy was doing it absolutely right with Blythes this year! I would love Pullips with similar concepts in the future and also there should not be any shortage of inspiration from Japanese fashion. Not forgetting that we did not get a single doll from the Creator’s Label this year.
It is such a shame that Blythes’ wigs are so hit or miss. They deserve beautiful hair. I was really shocked by what I have seen from Pineapple Princess’ owners, who showed how frizzy her hair was right out of the box. >< As a Mom, you must be super busy! I hope that Halloween will be super fun for your family and all your awesome traditions in the US! 😀 Maybe you can squeeze in some dolly time in between and share your beauties with us again soon. I am super looking forward to it! <3
