Redecorating For Dolls: Miniature Luxury!

That’s right, I have taken another step towards my dream dollhouse, which we still don’t have enough space for! In the meantime, it cannot hurt to collect some very super special pieces for the future! It all started with Kathia’s picture on Instagram and immediate admiration for sssDollFurniture‘s doll sized furniture creations. They are totally fit for princesses, being made with so much craftsmanship and love for detail. When I opened my mail the other day, I could not believe my eyes to see something that was even prettier in real life than in the pictures on Etsy!

Who's the bigger cutie?!Sofa details!Sofa details! My main piece is the button backed sofa out of white velvet! The design is so lovely and very rococo, which I know will work amazing with different dolly fashion styles. Instead of dressing my girls up lolita-style, I wanted to show off that you don’t need a new fancy wardrobe to make this style of furniture work. In my sofa’s case it is actually ‘bead backed’ meaning that there are tiny white beads in the notches, which is a detail I have been fawning over! Another lovely detail is the golden cord, which separates the caramel coloured wood from the white velvet. On some areas the wood is highlighted in gold; it’s so pretty! Back to the fabric: It is super soft and pillowy. I will make sure to keep it clean and take care of it!

Nobody is sleeping as pretty as Ruri! The sofa also came with two wine red pillows. I am repeating myself, but they are simply perfect as well! One of them even has amazing wine red tassels with a red bead on each end! Again, amazing quality and they simply make the sofa even more beautiful!

Rise is a bear because Kumo is one too!At the same time the sofa was in stock at sssDollFurniture’s store, there also was this white ottoman. It was one of those moments, when you are trying to convince yourself that you don’t need something, only to order it three days later because you could not imagine anything more fitting to your prior purchase. Their similarities are obviously the white velvet and the beautiful details with the white beads on top. Furthermore the fabric of the ottoman has a prism pattern and even more beads going all around of it and down its side, where its silver coloured feet are. As you can see from the picture above, Rise and Kumo absolutely approve of this purchase!

Mayu cannot sit still!Something I also wanted to mention, is the fact that the sofa and ottoman do not only look great in pictures, but thanks to the quality and softness of the material, you will also have an easier time to pose your dolls! I cannot wait to play around more and let all of my dolls have a rest on the sofa from time to time… ๐Ÿ˜‰

That's what we're working with!Do any of you guys own proper dollhouses or do you also make the best out of shelves and open surfaces, just like me? ๐Ÿ˜€ Please let me know, I feel like this could be a new craze for me!

Thank you so much for reading!

  1. That furniture is stunning! Your dollies are so lucky. I love seeing you collection grow. I donโ€™t have any furniture for my dolls… maybe I should get them some! ๐Ÿ˜œ
