50 ‘My Dolly Weeks’!!! Let’s Celebrate!

Welcome to the 50th Sunday post; it’s so nice to see you again! 🙂 Very fitting for the occasion, we have tons of doll news and I honestly could not imagine a better start into February! Last week had some really lovely and springy days, which inspired me to take this picture of my Spring Goddess Sencha. Her headdress was also made by It’s MY Caprice and I love how it matches her dress. Let’s hope that Sencha will bring us an early spring this year!

Sencha by Nina's DollsFirst of all: Last Sunday after publishing last week’s post, I went on Pullip Style only to find out that Pullip Cinnamoroll and Pullip Himawari‘s pre-orders had opened! After a short state of shock, both jumped into my shopping cart! They are supposed to be in stock at the end of April, which probably means that they will be home at the beginning of May. The wait will feel endless, but everybody knows that patience is key in this hobby. It feels really weird to have a Pullip on pre-order; my last one was Pullip Lupinus about one year ago. I am honestly having trouble to hide my excitement; there are so many things I love about both of them: Especially Cinnamoroll’s eyechips, her plushy, obviously, and Himawari’s orange toned make-up including her smiley expression!

On Thursday we also got the official announcement for Pullip Eileen’s general release, after being a special release weeks ago at an event in China. Just as a reminder: Eileen is a collaboration doll between Chinese magazine Girlism and Baby, The Stars Shine Bright. Her outfit was the winner of a design competition of said magazine and was produced not only in people, but also Pullip size for Eileen only. Can I be totally honest? Her dress reminds me a lot of Pullip La Robe Vert Clair! I know that both were BTSSB collaborations, but the way the dress was executioned does not resonate in me, as it did not for the 2015 BTSSB dolls. Still, I cannot wait to see her on display and owner pictures, since I am sure that they will reveal a lot more details of what to expect. Pullip Eileen will be released in Japan in May and with her reveal, we are now officially in the dark again for future releases! 😉 I’m already excited again!

Japanese fashion doll brands love their Alice releases as we all know…and Junie Moon announced a new Middie Blythe this week, whose illustration looks mega cute! Pebble Cakes & Shrinking Alice is her actual, mouthful of a name, but her story says that she is in her shrunk state and that’s why she is Middie sized. >< How cute! >< Oooh, I want her! Her release will be in March and I cannot wait to see more of this cuties; can I just call her Pebble Alice?! 😀

Are you going to pre-order any of the new girls? Or did you already cave like me? I have so much to do next week, I don’t want to think about it, but February is so much lovelier, when you think about Valentine’s Day! Heart shaped things, where are you and do you want to be my photo props?! XD

Thank you so much for reading!

  1. Ahhhh!!! You preordered the best Pullips! I can’t wait to see them… I’m sure they will be gorgeous!

I feel the same way as you do about Pullip Eileen. I’m not excited by her. She’s pretty, but she’s not my style. Im looking forward to seeing photos though.

The Middie Alice! I am in love! I confess – I ordered Majesty of Hearts so I could have them two of them together. We can have twinsies! 👯‍♀️

    1. Yes, I have been waiting for their pre-orders since their announcement…I am so excited for both of them, hopefully the wait won’t feel too long! XD

I totally get what you mean! I just feel that she is not the most well thought out Pullips out there or creative. I was expecting so much more, but in the end it all comes down to personal taste.

Omg, I am so happy to hear that you will have that perfect pair! Can you imagine them together! XD So much cuteness! 😀 I really hope to see the promotional images of ‘Pebbles’ soon and cannot wait to see your girls together!
