A fresh Sunday, a fresh Dolly Week! This week allowed me to finally get back into taking pictures and to work more on my blog. Plus my 2017 review finally went up, which was a surprisingly difficult post to write. Probably because it’s hard to put a whole year in a nutshell and not to go too much into detail. That being said, 2018 has been a quite ambivalent ride so far. For 21 days a lot of strange and unpleasant things have happened in lieu with me getting over them, which marks this time as very important for my personal growth. And at the end of the day, I still can come back to my dolls and Komonogatari to enjoy the lightness of being!
In my childhood I was a big Barbie fan and my collection in my parents’ house counts about 30 Barbie and Barbie family dolls. Barbie accessories for Pullips can be (as I had to bitterly learn) a hit and miss, but a clear hit is Minnie’s pink and yellow vespa, which has the perfect size! This week I managed only to do a portrait shot, since Minnie was always in danger of eating the floor, even though I had bought some fishing line and wire. Your girl simply does not know how to properly use them yet to at least visually defy gravity. There are so many adventures I want Minnie to go on, so I will work harder!
Also from Barbie’s catalogue is this bike, which I have last used months ago. Again, it has the perfect size for Pullip. When everything works out with the vespa and the fishing line, you can count on me to advance to my Pullips riding the bike. Mayu is one of my more adult girls with a clear love for fashion, which I wanted to portray with this winter outfit. The short coat is very special, since it was made from Nenelle et Lalluli, who make exceptional beautiful dolly clothes! They will have a shop update next week for their famous beary sweatshirts – so I highly recommend you to mark your calendars. I sure did! 😉 Also, there is more to show you from Mayu’s outfit, which I will show you next week!
Speaking of Nenelle et Lalluli, Midori (Pullip Chloi) is wearing their famous bunny shorts in blue and has discovered her love for skating. She is a lucky girl, since my husband bought this finger skateboard years ago from the 1€ section of a toy store because it features Darth Vader on the back! 😀 Can you sense the recurring theme of teasing feature pictures?! I’m sorry, it wasn’t planned, there are just too many opportunities! The elephant, sorry bear, and actual star in this photograph is Kumo. He was made by Knitting Dreams and is my first artist teddy bear and the best thing about him (next to his cuteness) is that he has the perfect Pullip sidekick size!
New releases! My highlight were the release of Neo Blythe Pretty Peony‘s promotional pictures! There is no way that this girl does not tick off everything from the Blythe box that I like: Colorful hair cut in a bob, a peony theme, a lovely stock outfit and a manicure. She is going to be released in Japan on February 16th and is highly tempting me!
What I am still waiting for is the start of Pullip Cinnamoroll’s and Pullip Himawari’s pre-oders on Pullip Style, as well as the confirmation of new MIO kits by the end of the month. I have read some speculations that they will either come in ‘fair’ or ‘natural’. Exciting times!
Did your dollies go for a ride this week? I really hope that you are all doing well!
Thank you so much for reading!

My Pullips are much too dainty to ride! I need to get them new bodies to do that!
I did get a cute Licca doll – maybe I should see if she could fit on a vehicle!!!
Just the thought of a Licca on a vehicle is making me giggle because it has to be the cutest thing ever! 😀 I am looking at Licca dolls from time to time and cannot believe that I haven’t comitted to one yet…although there is this cutie dressed up for a slumber party, who I really like! 😉
