She is here! After winning the Pullip custom contest last spring, the release of the winner’s doll has now been set to be released in December. I am of course talking about Japanese artist’s Feb la Campanura’s Pullip with the fairy tale-esque name ‘The Secret Garden of the White Witch‘!
And a fairy tale is basically, what you get: A floral fairy tale with lots of soft colours and some of my probably favourite eyechips ever on a stock Pullip doll release! Can you see all of those details?! These eyechips draw you in to enchant you! They also work so well with the rest of her make-up, which is incredibly soft and beautifully blended with amazing lower lashes. Again, those details are stunning!‘The Secret Garden of the White Witch’ continues to fulfill collector’s (high) expectations with her ombrΓ© coloured eyelids. They go from a subtle pink to a coral red and are just super pretty!
The outfit has so many details – I don’t think that I have spotted them all yet, but there are a lot of different sized pearls, lace and faux flowers on her headband, which seamlessly seems to blend into her long pink tinged blonde wig.
It would not be ‘The Secret Garden of the White Witch’ without a big floral dress. Its subtlety, not overdoing the florals on the bodice, a colourful print on the skirt with leaves peeking out under the hemline, is adorable! It continues to give this Pullip a soft look!
And finally, those little white booties are perfect! You would not wander around the garden in high heels – cute booties are all this girl needs!
You kann follow Feb la Campanura here on Twitter and here on Instagram – if you are an international Pullip (or honestly just general Japanese fashion doll) fan; you will be surprised by how many awesome dolly things are going on on Twitter!
I honestly want to pre-order this girl as soon as possible! She is such a creative release and I cannot wait to see her in person! What are your thoughts? Would you like to add her to your collection?
Thank you so much for reading!

I have such mixed feelings about White Witch! On one hand I’m excited about her beauty and all the wonderful details, but on the other hand I can’t help feeling disappointed about what they lost in translation. The original custom doll by Feb la Campanura has a very special facial expression that I really really love, but the reproduction is missing some of that. I think it is mainly the difference in her lips?
But then again, I think they did a splendid job with her, and without this comparison to the original she really shines bright. I will definitely add her to my collection at some point! I’m tempted to preorder her immediately, but I still remember the salty taxes after my last pre-order straight from Japan and try to hold my horses until she arrives in Europe and the U.S.
I wonder what there is under her skirt! I hope it is a tulle underskirt and not the kind of structure that Lunatic Queen has. Her clothes are very unique, aren’t they? Hopefully the greens on her hem aren’t very brittle plastic, I can already see myself crying over a broken leaf, haha! Her booties are super cute, and I’m thrilled about all the great details like the big red raspberry on her headpiece. Hooray for custom contests! Hooray for the great dolly day! π
Mmh, I think that I know, what you mean, when it comes to her expression, but I cannot really put my finger down on what has changed. π€ It is so nice to hear that you will add her to your collection as well! πππ
There is so much going on with Pullip releases right now, but somehow I immediately knew that she was going to be part of my collection and dolly family. We need a girl with a green thumb over here! πΉπΉπΉ
Gee, I am kind of worried about the plastic under her skirt too! πππ I honestly hate those hard and crunchy underskirts that some girls have – that’s why I was so happy with Lupinus!
That raspberry! I love it so, so much! Definitely one of the cutest details ever! πππ We are already having so much fun with her…just imagine, how it will be, when she actually arrives! πππππ Hurray!!!
Actually, when you look at her other photos (other than marketing photos, that is, like these in Twitter: https://twitter.com/Groove_Pullip/status/1037903373494771713?s=20) you will see that her dress is not that puffy after all. So, probably no plastic underskirt there! ππ
Yaaay, that completely takes my mind off of it! πππ Thank you so much for showing me; it looks super nice and natural! Honestly, that fits a little garden Pullip waaay more than puffiness! πΉπΉπππ
