Vlog: NEW PULLIPS, PULLIP CARD COLLECTION & WIGS! πŸ’‡β€β™€οΈ // BEHIND THE SCENES

This is basically just me trying to film with my point-and-shoot camera to get myself into vlogging mode for Japan! At the same time I am pouring out my heart and show you my new Pullip girls, as well as more dolly related swag. What do you think about Theri, the vlogger? 😹

Thank you so much for watching! πŸ’• Theri

  1. It took me this long to check out your vlog, so sorry for the late comment! Btw, what’s the difference between a vlog and a normal video, I couldn’t really see much difference? I have so much to comment about, so better get started!

I enjoyed very much about seeing your lovely doll stuff! Particularly wigs get me all excited! πŸ˜€ I have hoarded so many myself that it is quite out of control. I also store wigs in big boxes, with the difference of putting each into an individual plastic bag. That keeps me from messing out all the wigs while I try to search some particular ones …which I do quite often; my photographing session normally starts by changing wigs for some dolls, it’s probably my favourite part of the hobby!

Have you tested fabric softener for the frizzy wigs? I have found that very useful, although it is not a permanent solution but helps for a while. You can dilute it generously, maybe a few spoonfuls to half a litre of water? It is best to comb the hair thoroughly while using that. Some softeners are more effective than others, and I prefer unscented ones, because I don’t like strong fragrances on dolls.

It was nice to see your whole stock collection from the cards too! I normally keep the dolls’ cards in their boxes, because I save all the boxes and it helps me to know whose boxes they are. But maybe just the third of my dolls have come with their boxes, otherwise I wouldn’t know where to fit all of them! I have bought many dolls secondhand, so I don’t have all their cards either.

Which brings me to the subject of buying doll stuff from individuals. I do it a lot! In sites like eBay or Etsy I feel quite safe, because they have some kind of buyer protection, and the same goes with PayPal when you pay for “goods or services”. If you don’t get your item or it is different from the description, you *may* have a chance to get your money back. But even then it is a stressful journey, and sometimes you don’t even bother with it, if the problem is not very critical. Too often the condition is worse than described or something is missing. The horror stories I could tell! πŸ˜‰ For example I have received a doll packed in a newspaper and covered by ink all over! But magic sponge did its magic, so it was pointless to open a case.

If you feel very trustful, you can also make the payment in PayPal for “friends or family”, like some sellers require, or make a direct bank transfer (like we often do within our country). But if you don’t know the seller personally, I would strongly advice against that. It is so, so stressful if the seller is slow posting, particularly if they start making excuses or telling downright lies. Anything can happen, and you must expect anything to happen. In my country it is also often quite young people who are selling doll stuff, which makes it twice as risky.

Of course most experiences are positive. I myself am a fantastic seller, if I may say so? πŸ˜€ I write extremely detailed descriptions with all the possible faults explained, and pack super safely, send the item away on the following day from receiving the payment at the latest, and do everything I can to make the buyer feel safe. I wish everyone was like me, haha! Sorry for ranting about this for so long, I guess I needed to vent because I have two very stressful cases going on at this very moment. Let’s see what comes out of them… Every time I’m in this kind of situation, I promise to myself never to buy from an individual again. Until the next time… :p

Congratulations for getting so many grail dolls lately! Aurora, Eos and now Pere Noel too, wow! Hope to hear more about them soon, I still have the Eos video to watch! Have a great weekend!

    1. I am always happy, when you check out my stuff, no matter when! πŸ˜Šβ€β€β€πŸ’•
Vlogs have a looser way about them, in contrast to when a video has a strict theme. It’s basically filming a video, without knowing the title yet – the opposite to the majority of my videos.

Wigs are so great! I did try to de-frizz them with fabric softener, but only once and I wasn’t too keen on the result yet-and as you said: It had a very strong scent and I did not like that at all too! πŸ™ˆ But I will try again any maybe even use my curling iron to style them a bit differently!

Wrapping a doll in newspaper…I have no words! πŸ™€ Have your cases been solved yet? I honestly hope that everything turns out well! My Pere Noel came in perfect condition and I was super happy to receive her. Maybe I’ll buy again from a private seller one day. 😊 But now that so many pretty girls are coming out (I still need to write these blog posts) and Kore will be available again on Pullip Style in January (and I already pre-ordered her), I should be holding my horses for a while! 😹

Thank you so much for your congrats and I hope that you liked the Eos video! πŸ˜Šβ€β€β€πŸ’•
