My Dolly Week #76: Ch-Ch-Changes!

Hello and welcome to another dolly week! It is also the beginning of a very exciting September, which is going to be so much fun!

I was trying to get some video and blog ideas in order last week, which had been on my mind for a while. These ideas include:

My Dolly Week #75: Salt & Surprises!

Good evening and welcome back to another Dolly Week, everybody! This time I am pretty overwhelmed and not quite sure, where to start. Let’s start with the surprise, even though it cannot be healthy to end salty. (So much potential for lots of puns, I’m in heaven!)

My Dolly Week #74: Rikku Changes Things!

Welcome to a new Dolly Week, everybody! This time I am one year older and the proud owner of my first MiniFee and Silkstone Barbie.

The ending of ‘Final Fantasy X’ completely broke my heart and I am now playing its successor ‘FFX-2’. I love these games so much, it makes me so happy that I called my MiniFee Shushu, Rikku! I actually think that it fits her character really well and that she is super cute. Last week her wig came in the mail and now only her shoes are missing for her first video appearance. I love her so much, it is literally a whole new world!

My Dolly Week #73: Sunny Business!

Welcome to another Dolly Week post, friends! These are busy times, although they are also super fun too! Last week we spent a few days in the countryside to recharge our batteries and hop into the pool as many times as we could. Just the second day back, I miss it already!

My Dolly Week #72: Whisked Away for the Weekend!

Welcome back to another Dolly Week! I hope that everybody is feeling fresh and relaxed. I just got back into town Sunday afternoon, since I was on a family trip with my husband and my parents to watch a summery outdoor production of Mozart’s ‘The Magic Flute’. We were also planning to do lots of sightseeing and I decided that my girl Hime would enjoy to come along.

My Dolly Week #71: We’re back!

Yes, that’s right: ‘My Dolly Week‘ is back! For everybody, who hasn’t been here for the first 70 installments: This is my weekly column, which I had been writing from the very start of this blog and which kind of stopped as soon as I switched to video format. I did however realize these last few months that I was missing a more personal touch in contrast to my more focused videos and blog posts. And that concludes, why we’re here today!

Last week was huge for me: I connected with several friends, went hiking through the vineyards of Vienna, attended a pilates class all by myself (which was so much fun) and when it was rainy on the weekend, ‘Final Fantasy X’ was here to save the day! I now want a Rikku, Yuna and Lulu Pullip so bad…

You might also have noticed that my face is now literally everywhere; on my blog and social media. This is all thanks to my friend Miyu, who did my make up and took my pictures: Thank you so much for everything!

My Dolly Week #70: Pushing Yourself!

Rise being a wa lolitaLast Sunday something inside of my head clicked. It is always difficult to pin down the exact moment, when things change. I am constantly thinking about this blog, about the content I post and hope to produce in the future. And with my regular posting schedule I was starting to feel comfortable. This comfortable feeling is dangerous because it also means that you are caught up in a routine that could easily go on forever – and this is not what I want because I want to do and learn so much more! It also dawned on me that this comfortable space was only an illusion because there were certain things at the back of my head, who I did not dare to touch. And still, the more I ignored them, the more my longing to actually face them grew! Continue reading My Dolly Week #70: Pushing Yourself!

My Dolly Week#69: Tweeting & Dolly-ing!

Welcome to another My Dolly Week; I hope that all of you are well and are also having lots of fun! Last week I threw myself into new endeavors and am still learning, which is always a good thing. Honestly, I hope that I will never get tired of learning new things ever!

My summery flower girls Ruri & Mayu! After ignoring Twitter for over a year because I never bothered to completely learn all of its features or how to properly communicate, I started it up again with the intention of being more personal in between the announcements of new posts and dolly pictures. I am still a bit shy and embarassed, but I hope that you like a sprinkle of Kpop and like to know, which films I am watching. 😉 And, the thing I am most nervous about, is that I want to post my dolly pics with Japanese captions, since I noticed way more Japanese dolly fans on Twitter than on Instagram. Please check out my account, I would love to see you over there! Continue reading My Dolly Week#69: Tweeting & Dolly-ing!

My Dolly Week #68: A Bouquet of Pullips!

Here we are, another week went by and there is no complaining on my side, since the last seven days were filled with enough dolly content to fill my post with!

Claire & Choux, a bouquet of Pullips!Sisters, forever united!I turned 28 years old on Thursday and my husband managed to majorly surprise me by taking the day off. This way we could spend the hottest day of the year (literally, not trying to sound conceited) together and get to know these two little girls above: Claire and Choux, who both have been created by Thai artist Kitasin Doll House on Etsy. He gave the girls such sweet expressions that I named them after some of my favourite French pastries; Claire after éclairs and Choux after cream puffs. (And also: I knew that I would use this plant pot from Ikea for my doll photography one day, don’t ever let your spouse convince you otherwise! Ihihihi!) My Dolly Week #67: Summer Holiday Edition!

I fell down this summer’s extremely hot rabbit hole. Right now, as all of Europe and so many other parts of the world are suffering from the heat, I got lazy and could not stand sitting in front of the computer. But good news: As it turns out, my fan was hidden behind some boxes with Christmas stuff and I need to share so many novelties with you that I cannot wait!

My cutest Ruri on vacation!Ruri-chan has helped me a lot to get out of my summer funk and to enjoy my staycation with dressing up in summery clothes and enjoying frozen treats. While I prefer frozen grapes nowadays, Ruri loves kawaii parfaits to stay cool! Continue reading My Dolly Week #67: Summer Holiday Edition!
