MDW #56: Raging Strawberry Spirits!

What a week it has been! Pretty much like the proverbial mixed bag, my spirit in my ‘adult life’ almost got broken at work, but my private and dolly life have been pretty good. There were also plenty of exciting announcements, which might already could fill their very own post. Let’s talk about all the dolly things!

Sailor Strawberry is here to save the world!I have to first talk about non other than fabulous super hero Sailor Strawberry! Sailor Neptune got a bit tired of Rise borrowing her sailor uniform each and every day, so María‘s package came exactly at the right moment! She was so kind to gift Rise a strawberrylicious looking outfit from her own collection, which Sailor Strawberry tried on immediately to turn into her next transformation: Super Sailor Strawberry! Thank you so much to María for making sweet Rise even sweeter! Continue reading MDW #56: Raging Strawberry Spirits!

My Dolly Week #55: Pullip Bonnie & Little Else!

Okay, that title is not exactly true. I did receive Vivi, Pullip Bonnie, last week and dolly time felt limited, but in my private life a looot happened. Basically, my husband is changing jobs and is finally able to work in his dream profession, which equally means that we are not going to have opposite schedules anymore! Wheee for more sleep and a normal daily routine! 🙂

Pullip Bonnie, I named her Vivi. Continue reading My Dolly Week #55: Pullip Bonnie & Little Else!

My Dolly Week #54: Clear Lan & A Wedding Usagi!

It is ‘Dolly Week’ time! I hope that March welcomed you all warmly and that everybody is doing well! Last week I tested out a wonderful clothing brand for all kinds of dollies and we got some pretty surprising news from Groove Inc., regarding two new June releases. Let’s start!

Miss Mayu wearing a new outfit!Miss Mayu, thinking about music! The clothing brand I was just writing about and I completely fell in love with, is ‘Clear Lan‘. It is based in Singapore and offers to make clothes fitting for various dolls and body types. After ordering, you enter a waiting period and its length depends on how many orders came in before yours. I only had to wait for two weeks, before I got the shipping confirmation. But honestly, I would not have minded waiting longer for something that truly fits my obitsu girls! In the picture above, Mayu is wearing two tops from Clear Lan: A long sleeved tight fitting beige turtleneck sweater out of thin cotton and a dark red coloured strappy top on top of it. I just love that their clothes are inspired by contemporary Asian fashion, especially this combination feels like something you could encounter on Korean streets! Mayu likes to combine her lovely tops with a asymmetrical skirt by Jiajiadoll and crimson tights. Doesn’t she look ready for dance lessons?! My Dolly Week #53: Nostalgia!

Welcome to another Sunday post! I hope, you are doing well! Temperatures in Central Europe are so cold right now, which leaves you with more time to stay inside and play with your dollies. Even though we are playing inside, my dollies’ wardrobe is constantly updated with more winter gear. Probably because dolls are simply the cutest, when wearing layers, scarves and coats! Sencha being the newest arrival, got spoiled a few days ago with this lovely camel coloured cape from Ringo No Matsuri, which even comes with it’s own white fluffy collar. Miss Sencha is staying warm this winter!

My Dolly Week #52: Doggies and some Matcha!

Pastels look so nice on Ruri!Happy 'Year of the Dog'!Happy Sunday and happy Lunar New Year to everybody who is celebrating! Since everybody has safely arrived in the ‘Year of the Dog’ now, Ruri could not let the chance drop to dress up like a cute little puppy! She is wearing a hat, which arrived last week and was a little rainbow in a pretty bad week (especially last Wednesday, ugh!). It is my second helmet by Dr. Rabbitland on Etsy and again, I am completely smitten with the look and quality. Her hats are originally designed for Blythes, but I like how they look on my Pullips! The puppy hat has such a lovely pastel lilac colour and plushy pink ears. It is so, so cute and really suits Ruri’s pink wig! Ruri is also wearing an ensemble by Atelier Milabrocc consisting out of a pastel lilac knit sweater and a pleated skirt with suspenders. What a doll! My Dolly Week #51: Steady, steady…

Welcome to another Sunday post on Komonogatari! Have you had a nice week? Mine has been a quite turbulent up and down in my personal life, being beyond boring for hours and suddenly pretty stressful with lots of heart racing. That is why I actually called this post ‘Steady, steady…’ because I definitely need a bit less excitement next week, since the last seven days were too much! >< It also refers to the fact that there are so many doll reviews to write and pictures to take, which can feel overwhelming sometimes. Especially when there is no time due to work or the sun hiding from me on my days off. Still, I will catch up with my posts and will try my best to take cute pictures! Ganbatte!

50 ‘My Dolly Weeks’!!! Let’s Celebrate!

Welcome to the 50th Sunday post; it’s so nice to see you again! 🙂 Very fitting for the occasion, we have tons of doll news and I honestly could not imagine a better start into February! Last week had some really lovely and springy days, which inspired me to take this picture of my Spring Goddess Sencha. Her headdress was also made by It’s MY Caprice and I love how it matches her dress. Let’s hope that Sencha will bring us an early spring this year!

Sencha by Nina's DollsFirst of all: Last Sunday after publishing last week’s post, I went on Pullip Style only to find out that Pullip Cinnamoroll and Pullip Himawari‘s pre-orders had opened! After a short state of shock, both jumped into my shopping cart! They are supposed to be in stock at the end of April, which probably means that they will be home at the beginning of May. The wait will feel endless, but everybody knows that patience is key in this hobby. It feels really weird to have a Pullip on pre-order; my last one was Pullip Lupinus about one year ago. I am honestly having trouble to hide my excitement; there are so many things I love about both of them: Especially Cinnamoroll’s eyechips, her plushy, obviously, and Himawari’s orange toned make-up including her smiley expression! My Dolly Week #49: Introducing Sencha!

Welcome to the last Dolly Week post of January 2018! When looking at January so far, it feels like so many dolly related things happened that one month feels way too short. >< I also have lots of content for my Tuesday posts lined up, which means lots of cute things in the future! Yaaay! 🙂

Sencha by Poison GirlThe first girl to join my doll family in 2018 is Sencha, a girl whose beautiful face-up was done by Nina’s Dolls. I feel so lucky to have her because I love how Nina gives her Pullips tear ducts and her carving work on the nose, lips and philtrum. It is a very ethereal look. I don’t want to talk too much about Sencha now, since I still want to continue to give every girl her own post in 2018, but she definitely has a goddess of spring vibe. I am so excited! My Dolly Week #48: Pullip Rides!

Minnie and her Barbie vespaA fresh Sunday, a fresh Dolly Week! This week allowed me to finally get back into taking pictures and to work more on my blog. Plus my 2017 review finally went up, which was a surprisingly difficult post to write. Probably because it’s hard to put a whole year in a nutshell and not to go too much into detail. That being said, 2018 has been a quite ambivalent ride so far. For 21 days a lot of strange and unpleasant things have happened in lieu with me getting over them, which marks this time as very important for my personal growth. And at the end of the day, I still can come back to my dolls and Komonogatari to enjoy the lightness of being!

One more portrait of Minnie! In my childhood I was a big Barbie fan and my collection in my parents’ house counts about 30 Barbie and Barbie family dolls. Barbie accessories for Pullips can be (as I had to bitterly learn) a hit and miss, but a clear hit is Minnie’s pink and yellow vespa, which has the perfect size! This week I managed only to do a portrait shot, since Minnie was always in danger of eating the floor, even though I had bought some fishing line and wire. Your girl simply does not know how to properly use them yet to at least visually defy gravity. There are so many adventures I want Minnie to go on, so I will work harder! My Dolly Week (#46+47): I’m back!

Welcome everybody! I am back after being sick for over a week. I haven’t had a fever in such a long time that it completely surprised me, how much it stops you in your tracks and makes a soup eating zombie out of you. Tomorrow it’s back to work, but I also wanted to make my way back onto Komonogatari, since writing has always given me drive for life in general.

Rise is Sailor Strawberry now!Something that made my absence on here bareable for me, is the fact that most Japanese companies are taking a break from the public this time of the year too and that there were no big announcements for me to be missed. I spent a lot of time on Instagram and discovered amazing people on there, while trying to do the occassional snapshot. The picture above with little Rise-chan as Sailor Strawberry was so hard to do while sweating like crazy and disinfecting my hands every few seconds. I hope that you will like my future posts – I have so much to share with you, since being sick apparently is no reason for me to not do a little shopping! 😉

My biggest New Year’s resolution is definitely to be more mindful, when it comes to my health. So please take care of yourselves too!

Thank you so much for reading!
