Pullip has found her love for Korean mythology in 2019! Just four months after releasing Pullip Kumiho, the sweet little nine tailed fox, AGA and Groove are presenting their vision of Lady Yuhwa, the mother of King Dongmyeong, the first king of Goguryeo, one of The Three Kingdoms of Korea. Not only was she the mother of a king, but legend also says that she was the daughter of a God! Continue reading My Thoughts On: Pullip Yuhwa for May 2019

My Thoughts On: Pullip Funassyi Classical Lolita Version for May 2019 | Japan Exclusive
I honestly have no idea, where to start. So just let me say that there is nothing, absolutely nothing about this Pullip that I don’t like! Even though I am normally super quick to jump on any kind of bandwagon that revolves around Japanese characters or mascots, yellow pear and Chiba’s representative mascot Funassyi never really tickled my fancy so much that I was okay with forking over some Yen – until now! Imagine my sorrow, when my dreams were a little crushed, when I read that this Pullip is only being promoted as a Japan exclusive release. (Although we must not forget that 2016’s Japan exclusive ‘Le Petit Prince‘ collaboration with Alice & The Pirates also found their way into international online shops…there is still hope and I am not ready to give up just yet!) My Thoughts On: Special Yokohama Doll Museum Hatsune Miku Pullip
A few weeks ago I was lucky to be able to visit the new Hatsune Miku figure exhibition in Yokohama’s Doll Museum on its opening day. To celebrate the occasion, Groove Inc. was displaying their newest interpretation of the Vocaloid icon, which will go on sale this month. As of now, we do not know, whether she will become a regular release later on, but apparently the museum will only have 250 dolls for sale. My Thoughts On: Pullip Bouquetin for March 2019
Groove is on a roll with announcing new girls to us and it is amazing! Pullip Bouquetin, her name is French for capricorn, is the second recent Pullip release after Pullip Alrescha Pisces with a zodiac theme, which let’s me speculate, if we are going to see some more in the future. (As a true leo, I would probably just buy a leo-themed Pullip completely regardless, what she would like!) Continue reading My Thoughts On: Pullip Bouquetin for March 2019
My Thoughts On: Pullip Optical Queen for February 2019
This is, what I call a complete surprise: Two years after the release of Pullip Optical Alice (whose review was my first blog post on here, btw), the long teased ‘Optical Alice’ series is finally kicking off not to be a solo project anymore with freshly announced Pullip Optical Queen! Not only am I surprised, I am also super pleased that my Optical Alice will get a sister, who is more experimental with her make up! Continue reading My Thoughts On: Pullip Optical Queen for February 2019
My Thoughts On: Pullip Kumiho for January 2019
Oh happy day! When I realized that the Pullip year of 2018 would already close in a few weeks with the releases of Pullip ‘The Secret Garden of the White Witch‘ and Pullip ‘Alrescha Pisces‘, I got super curious about what kind of start Pullip would get in 2019. Apparently we are in for a mysterious treat with Pullip Kumiho, who is a very bold dolly, especially considering Grooves more recent releases! Continue reading My Thoughts On: Pullip Kumiho for January 2019
My Thoughts On: Pullip The Secret Garden of the White Witch for December 2018
She is here! After winning the Pullip custom contest last spring, the release of the winner’s doll has now been set to be released in December. I am of course talking about Japanese artist’s Feb la Campanura’s Pullip with the fairy tale-esque name ‘The Secret Garden of the White Witch‘!
And a fairy tale is basically, what you get: A floral fairy tale with lots of soft colours and some of my probably favourite eyechips ever on a stock Pullip doll release! Can you see all of those details?! These eyechips draw you in to enchant you! They also work so well with the rest of her make-up, which is incredibly soft and beautifully blended with amazing lower lashes. Again, those details are stunning! Continue reading My Thoughts On: Pullip The Secret Garden of the White Witch for December 2018
My Thoughts On: Pullip Alrescha Pisces for December 2018
It has been more than seven years, since we saw a Pullip mermaid being released and back then it was Pullip Jaldet in February 2011, who was sporting a darker theme with her black clothes and amazingly colourful make-up. In 2018 Pullip Alrescha Pisces will bring something else to the maritime table with a natural face and her frilly pastel coloured fishtail.
How does her face compare to Pullip Princess Rosalind? Is her stock up my alley? Let’s get started! Continue reading My Thoughts On: Pullip Alrescha Pisces for December 2018
