There have been a few different releases of Pullip Purezza in Pullip history. There was Winter Purezza, Spring Purezza, Fall Purezza and finally Brand New Purezza, next to my baby that I want to show you today: Summer Purezza from 2005, who was released from Jun Planning on an early type-3 body. She was limited to 500 dolls. I found her last September in Japan and really fell in love with her clean face up and cute expression. Early Pullips have their own charm about them, even though they do will come with some flaws due to their age, which I will also discuss in this review. My Dolly Week #38: Dolly Denim and Obitsus!
Welcome to another Dolly Week on my blog! This week has been super duper interesting, when it comes to new releases, but I also finally started some projects to rebody my older Pullip girls, since I brought home four obitsus in total from Japan.
The first girl I rebodied was Natalia, my Pullip Blanche. Although I do not massively hate the Pullip type-3 bodies, they do tend to make your Pullips quite stiff looking and do not allow them to pose properly. Especially the type-3 neck was bugging me, since it looks way too unnatural. Natalia always seemed to stick her head way forward in comparison to her type-4 and obitsu bodied sisters. I plan to do a more detailed post about my girls’ different body types, but for Natalia I decided on a flesh toned 27 cm obitsu, since I went for the same height as Mayu and Ruri, which I had misjudged in the past as 24cm tall. In the future, I do plan to get some of the new 24cm obitsus, but since my type-3 girls seem more grown-up anyway, they are all going to be taller than that. May I just say that I love Natalia’s new look?! I also dressed her up in the coolest dolly ensemble from Atelier Milabrocc ever! Those perfect embroidered and distressed Mom jeans are going to be a staple in my dolly wardrobe for years!
Speaking of denim from Atelier Milabrocc, before she released the set with the jeans and the equally stylish sweater, she made the most adorable shorts in the same style. My Pullip wardrobe is full of dresses and skirts, lilacs and pinks, which I both wanted to mix up a bit (nevermind, the pink embroideries on the denim…they don’t count!). Minnie, my Charon Dolls’ custom Pullip, was the first one to try on those glorious shorts in combination with a cropped lilac knit sweater-from Atelier Milabrocc as well. Can you tell that I like her work?! 😀 Minnie looks a bit rockabilly and like a cool pastel chick in general. I am super pleased-she needs to wear the most out of this outfit before it gets too cold! Meet Rise by Poison Girl’s Dolls!
There once was a girl with cherry red hair, who looks like a tiny button. A tiny red button, of course! Her favorite time of the year was winter, since she brought warmth, wherever she went and in 2017 I was lucky enough that she decided to come and stay with me forever! My Dolly Week #37: Seeing Red!
Welcome to another Dolly Week! I hope that everyone is having a lovely time, even though Halloween is over! 😉 I was a bit sad at first because the time for scary and cute decorations is over, but now I am free to plan Komonogatari‘s first Christmas, which will be equally exciting for me and my dolls. So please stay excited and let’s start!
Some things in life do not change. They still feel like the first time and leave you completely in awe with your happiness not wearing of whatsoever. This is how I feel about my dolls from María, the artist behind Poison Girl’s Dolls. Two days ago the most precious and prettiest (not to mention earliest) Christmas gift ever showed up on my door step: A little redhead called Rise, who is my warm and toasty doll family addition for the cold season. I am planning to dedicate a blog post to her next Thursday and in the meantime I could not help myself, but take pictures of her next to Mayu and Ruri.
Aren’t those three the cutest?! María was so lovely to include some goodies into the package, of which these lovely Chip’n’Dale dolls were part of! They are part of the Ufufy series, which is finally available in European Disney stores! Great news, especially for doll fans, since their sizes vary from the Japanese ones. We finally have doll-sized Disney plushies available! I am so happy and a big thank you to María for the wonderful presents! <3
When looking at those three, I believe that Mayu is the oldest sister, while Ruri is a very responsible middle child and Rise is the little sister. While Mayu likes to space out after photoshoots, Ruri seems to be saying: ‘Oh, no! Why are Chip’n’Dale already tumbling down…we just got them!’. 😀 You can see all of María’s beautiful photographs of Rise in her blog’s gallery! Continue reading My Dolly Week #37: Seeing Red!
Review: Pullip Princess Serenity (2014)
If you are a fan of Sailor Moon or a silly schoolgirl with a heart of gold called Usagi Tsukino, you are probably going to have a hard time choosing your favorite Pullip version of this beloved character. So far there have been four Pullip doll releases: Sailor Moon, Super Sailor Moon, Eternal Sailor Moon and Princess Serenity from 2015, who today’s review is all about. Even though I am a big Sailor Moon fan, collecting the various releases proved to be quite a difficult task for me, since most dolls come with little stock and higher prices. While I do intend to get Pullip Eternal Sailor Moon in the near future, Princess Serenity’s stock is so beautiful and her face up has such nice details that I could not get her out of my head and she ended up being the second addition from the Sailor Moon series after Sailor Neptune in my collection! Continue reading Review: Pullip Princess Serenity (2014)
Review: Pullip Outfit Selection Valletta Set
I have never been to Valletta myself, but at least I get to show you Groove Inc.’s Valletta set from their Outfit Selection line. My model for this post is Felicia my Pullip Optical Alice, whose complexion looks beautiful in dark navy and red. The main optic of this set is a preppy school uniform that fits a Pullip’s type-4 body like a glove. It includes a headband, a blazer, a blouse, a skirt, kneesocks and shoes. Basically, everything you need for a cute look to play with! Continue reading Review: Pullip Outfit Selection Valletta Set
Meet Iris Mint by Charon Dolls!
Iris Mint is a child of spring! She is a full custom Pullip by Charon Dolls and was created for the Omocha Crush Tea Party in London last May. She immediately caught my eye, since I am loving all things pastel and mint, but unfortunately I did not have the funds for her at the time and tried to let her go in my mind. That I am still super lucky to now be able to call her part of my collection must have been destiny! 😀
If you are familiar with Charon’s work, you will already know that she creates her Pullips after certain themes. The name Iris Mint says it all: We are talking about the prettiest minty iris flower ever! My favorite make-up point are the actual iris blossoms, which Iris Mint is rocking on her lower lashline and on her eyelids on a base of matte mint. Her eyeshadow is a lighter mint with a pearly sheen in the inner and a pastel lilac in the outer corners. The transition of the shades is flawless. For the eyeliner Charon chose a dark brownish aubergine with the cutest little curling flick at the outer corners. To complete the look with a special pop of color, Iris Mint is wearing a dash of hot pink in the inner corners of her eyes. The hot pink works so phenomenally well; Minnie (that’s my nickname for her) is an accumulation of happy colors! To complement her stylish look, Charon picked out deep indigo blue eyechips with purple shimmer from Lullaby for Dolls. These eyechips are simply perfect for giving her gaze a certain depth and curiosity! Have you noticed Minnie’s nostrils?! I love them so much! Continue reading Meet Iris Mint by Charon Dolls!
My Dolly Week #34: Meet My Mouse Minnie!
Welcome to my 34th post of My Dolly Week, which signals the end of a rather strange week with lots of turbulences and weird feelings. Why weird feelings?! I have been in the dolly hobby now for a little bit over a year. There are so many things, I still know nothing about and am still learning each week. Sometimes this leads to mistakes on my part, which feel just terrible and I can only count myself lucky that I have found some super lovely people, who still have my back and support me.
On a lighter note, this little girl above has been cheering me up with her colorful and soothing nature. Her official name is Iris Mint and she is a full custom by Charon Dolls, whose custom Pullips are simply delightful! My nickname for Iris Mint is Minnie, which I think suits her sweet face perfectly. I want to dedicate a whole post to her in the upcoming days, so please stay tuned. 😉
As a fact, Minnie and Mayu have been my little helpers for a spooky project, I have been working on lately. It will hopefully be cute and fun. If everything turns out the way I want it to, I will be able to announce it next week! During preparations I was re-organizing my whole Pullip collection, which I should have known before, was a total mess! >< And speaking of even messier things: My face-up skills are so bad! I am by no means getting discouraged, but right now I am basically ‘creating’ a face-up, while testing out the materials, and afterwards immediately remove it. I have read on several blogs that you have to have a lot of practice and patience before getting any better. Maybe one day in the future, I will be able to share a face-up as a creative product of mine next to photography and writing, but until then I could not justify shocking you with my try-outs. 😉 Continue reading My Dolly Week #34: Meet My Mouse Minnie!
My Dolly Week #33: Names and Harmonia Bloom!
Remember last week, when I was talking about how much I love October? I still love it, but this post is probably on the edge of delirious, since I caught a cold, when I was out watching foliage during my work break. 😀 But now let’s talk about dolls and not the fact that I need to introduce more vitamins to my diet!
When it comes to names, I actually enjoy changing my dolls’ names to add more to their personality and to give myself more inspiration, when it comes to styling and photography. Pullip Marie though, even after I customized her, still perfectly feels like a Marie. I was debating several other names, but Marie is Marie and that’s that! 😀 She is such a cool girl, I was really surprised, how much she is able to pull off black clothes.
Naming the Pullips from the Le Petit Prince series was so difficult! If a doll is already called ‘The Fox‘ and ‘The Rose‘ your creativity gets killed and so Pullip The Rose is now called Bara, which is the Japanese word for rose and short version for the Czech name Barbora. Pullip The Fox is Ki-chan, which is short for kitsune, Japanese for fox. I really hope that I will not run out of ideas soon. I also cannot imagine calling a Pullip Shion, like Groove’s upcoming realease, since Shion is the name of an anime figure out of a horror story called Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. Ugh, having an actual Shion in my dolly family would probably drive me just as crazy as the Shion in the anime! >< Creepy stuff, but perfect for Halloween and recommended by yours truly-but honestly, I would never watch it again! Once is more than enough!
Have you heard about Harmonia Bloom, the new collections of dolls, which is going to be released by Good Smile Company, home of the Nendoroids, early next year?! I have kind of mixed feelings, but am kind of intrigued by the blonde cutie above, whose expression speaks most to me. The reason, why I am suddenly writing about them, is the fact that they got featured quite a bit in my Twitter feed, since there is an article in the newest issue of Dollybird, which hopefully means that we will be getting more information about their release soon.
Now I would like to know, if you name your dolls and what do you think about the Harmonia Bloom line! Are you excited or is another collection more up your alley?
Thank you so much for reading!

My Junie Moon Haul 2017
Today I want to share with you my tiny treasures from the Junie Moon stores in Shibuya and Shinjuku, which are specializing in selling Blythe dolls and accessories for them. Those stores are absolutely amazing, since most of their stuff can also fit different dolls like Pullip, Azone Pure Neemo M and Momoko. If you ever are going to visit one of them, do be prepared to spend a lot of money or at least to be in constant danger to do so! Continue reading My Junie Moon Haul 2017
