Review: Pullip Creator’s Label Callie

Pullip CalliePullip Callie is one out of two Pullip dolls, which were released in 2016 in Groove’s Creator’s Label series in collaboration with Thai doll artists Happydolly and Memento. Happydolly created the face ups and Memento the outfits. Pullip Callie is the twin sister of Pullip Cassie, who I reviewed here. The twins Pullip Callie and Cassie are sold separately. Review: Pullip Creator’s Label Cassie

Pullip CassiePullip Cassie is a Pullip Creator’s Label release from 2016. Cassie and her twin sister Callie are a collaboration with Thai doll artists Happydolly, who did the face up, and Memento, who was in charge of designing the outfits. Their flair is very girly and flirty with lots of lace and pastel colours. Today I am going to review Pullip Cassie, the sister in the blue outfit. Comparing Pullip Cassie and Pullip Callie’s Face Ups!

Pullip Cassie und Pullip Callie are 2016 Creator’s Label line releases that were designed by doll artists Happydolly/Memento. Approaching to write about those two seemed a bit intimidating, so I decided to start with a post comparing both of their face ups, before each of these cuties will get their own reviews. I have written about Groove Pullip twins before, Pullips Clara and Chloi, but those two are sporting different colour schemes, while Cassie and Callie actually seem to share the same taste in make up. But don’t be fooled: There are some distinct differences, which do play a big role in creating their sweet expressions!

Review: Pullip Dilettante (2014)

Pullip DilettantePullip Dilettante was one of the first Pullips that I discovered online and instantly loved. There is something about this girl, released in early 2014, which left me fascinated. Her concept is  being a hard-working business girl in the big city, therefore her stock is quite unusual for a Pullip, being extremely chic business attire. I love otherworldly concepts, but sometimes it’s nice to have a selection of clothes that are more realistic in an adults day to day life, while still being super fancy. In her official description it does not say, how much her name ‘Dilettante’ actually refers to her character, but the way this girl is wearing her make-up and is dressing up, doesn’t scream dilettante to me! 😉

Review: Pullip Summer Purezza (2005)

Pullip Summer PurezzaThere have been a few different releases of Pullip Purezza in Pullip history. There was Winter Purezza, Spring Purezza, Fall Purezza and finally Brand New Purezza, next to my baby that I want to show you today: Summer Purezza from 2005, who was released from Jun Planning on an early type-3 body. She was limited to 500 dolls. I found her last September in Japan and really fell in love with her clean face up and cute expression. Early Pullips have their own charm about them, even though they do will come with some flaws due to their age, which I will also discuss in this review. Review: Pullip Princess Serenity (2014)

Pullip Princess SerenityIf you are a fan of Sailor Moon or a silly schoolgirl with a heart of gold called Usagi Tsukino, you are probably going to have a hard time choosing your favorite Pullip version of this beloved character. So far there have been four Pullip doll releases: Sailor Moon, Super Sailor Moon, Eternal Sailor Moon and Princess Serenity from 2015, who today’s review is all about. Even though I am a big Sailor Moon fan, collecting the various releases proved to be quite a difficult task for me, since most dolls come with little stock and higher prices. While I do intend to get Pullip Eternal Sailor Moon in the near future, Princess Serenity’s stock is so beautiful and her face up has such nice details that I could not get her out of my head and she ended up being the second addition from the Sailor Moon series after Sailor Neptune in my collection! Review: Pullip Outfit Selection Valletta Set

Outfit Selection Valletta SetI have never been to Valletta myself, but at least I get to show you Groove Inc.’s Valletta set from their Outfit Selection line. My model for this post is Felicia my Pullip Optical Alice, whose complexion looks beautiful in dark navy and red. The main optic of this set is a preppy school uniform that fits a Pullip’s type-4 body like a glove. It includes a headband, a blazer, a blouse, a skirt, kneesocks and shoes. Basically, everything you need for a cute look to play with! Continue reading Review: Pullip Outfit Selection Valletta Set

Review: Azone Twinkle à la mode Aquamarine Alisa

Azone International is a Japanese doll company that releases a lot of dolls on a regular basis. They have different series and sizes with adorable designs. They are also known for their high quality stock outfit and love for details. It is not that easy to get your hands on Azones in Central Europe because retailers only get extremely limited stock, but things are changing, since Azone just recently started expanding their market by releasing their first North American exclusives, which makes me optimistic for the future. Today I am going to show you my first Azone doll, Aquamarine Alisa, a release from 2016!

Azone's Aquamarine AlisaAlisa is part of Azone’s series SAHRA’S à la mode. Sahra is an original character from Azone and she is a highschool girl, who loves to dress up with her friends. At first they were four girls in total, but now they are a group of five. Each year there is a new theme and it is so interesting, how the style of each individual doll differs from the year before. Last year’s theme of the SAHRA-series was Twinkle à la mode and was centered around gemstones. Alisa’s stone was the aquamarine, which compliments her eyes beautifully. As you can see, she is quite different from Pullip or Blythe dolls because she does not have an über dimensional large head. Although she has the same scale bodywise (her clothes fit my Pullips perfectly and vice versa), she seems a lot tinier to me. Also her eyes are painted on, which makes her a lot manga- or anime-like. Getting an Azone doll is definitely a new experience! The dolls in this series are on a 1/6 scale. Continue reading Review: Azone Twinkle à la mode Aquamarine Alisa

Review: Pullip Blanche

Pullip BlanchePullip Blanche's wrists! Some time ago, Pullip Blanche’s face appeared on my computer screen and her beautiful face immediately struck me. At that time I had no idea, who she was and so my search for her started. Turns out, she was released in 2007 when Pullip was still produced under Jun Planning and not Groove. She is on a type-3 body and, being ten years old, pretty hard to find due to her still ongoing popularity in the Pullip community. I was lucky to get her NRFB and in mint condition, although type-3 bodies are prone to breaking, especially their fragile wrists. Continue reading Review: Pullip Blanche
