My Thoughts On: Pullip The Secret Garden of the White Witch for December 2018

Pullip The Secret Garden of White WitchShe is here! After winning the Pullip custom contest last spring, the release of the winner’s doll has now been set to be released in December. I am of course talking about Japanese artist’s Feb la Campanura’s Pullip with the fairy tale-esque name ‘The Secret Garden of the White Witch‘!

Pullip The Secret Garden of White Witch face upAnd a fairy tale is basically, what you get: A floral fairy tale with lots of soft colours and some of my probably favourite eyechips ever on a stock Pullip doll release! Can you see all of those details?! These eyechips draw you in to enchant you! They also work so well with the rest of her make-up, which is incredibly soft and beautifully blended with amazing lower lashes. Again, those details are stunning! My Thoughts On: Pullip Alrescha Pisces for December 2018

Alrescha PiscesIt has been more than seven years, since we saw a Pullip mermaid being released and back then it was Pullip Jaldet in February 2011, who was sporting a darker theme with her black clothes and amazingly colourful make-up. In 2018 Pullip Alrescha Pisces will bring something else to the maritime table with a natural face and her frilly pastel coloured fishtail.

Pullip Alrescha PiscesHow does her face compare to Pullip Princess Rosalind? Is her stock up my alley? Let’s get started! Continue reading My Thoughts On: Pullip Alrescha Pisces for December 2018

My Dolly Week #70: Pushing Yourself!

Rise being a wa lolitaLast Sunday something inside of my head clicked. It is always difficult to pin down the exact moment, when things change. I am constantly thinking about this blog, about the content I post and hope to produce in the future. And with my regular posting schedule I was starting to feel comfortable. This comfortable feeling is dangerous because it also means that you are caught up in a routine that could easily go on forever – and this is not what I want because I want to do and learn so much more! It also dawned on me that this comfortable space was only an illusion because there were certain things at the back of my head, who I did not dare to touch. And still, the more I ignored them, the more my longing to actually face them grew! Continue reading My Dolly Week #70: Pushing Yourself!

Crystalux Disney Characters #3: Belle from ‘The Beauty and the Beast’

Crystalux Belle FigureSo far all of the Crystalux releases by Banpresto have been nothing short of amazing. It all started with Alice, continued with Snow White and now we are already at their third release with Belle, the heroine of ‘The Beauty and the Beast’. Crystalux figures are prizes that can be won at Japanese arcades. Their special feature are the eyes, which are comparable to dolls’ eyechips and therefore reflect light. Mei’s Musings #2: Ufufufuuu~fy!

It is already the second installment of Mei’s Musings and I have to say; it is quite flattering that people are interested in what I have to say! 😀

Mei in a bunny hoodie, pyon!So flattering even that I am wearing a new sweater today. I was craving pastel pink for the end of summer and can never resist a touch of cuteness and whimsy. Why just wear a cute bunny living inside a donut with lilac frosting on your shirt, when you can become a bunny yourself?! I got it from Cyristine Creations on Etsy, who has the cutest pastel fairy kei clothes for girls like me. As a special bonus, my white shorts by Culture Japan are the perfect fit. I am still waiting for some socks to complete my look. Continue reading Mei’s Musings #2: Ufufufuuu~fy!

Review: ‘Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets’ Ron Weasley & Ginny Weasley Dolls by Mattel

Ginny and Ron Weasley dolls by MattelGinny Weasley NRFBRon NRFBThe Weasley family is a such an important safety net in the world of protagonist Harry Potter, there is no way that Ron and Ginny would not make an appearance in Mattel’s line of ‘Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets‘ dolls, which were made with the actors of 2002’s major motion picture in mind. Due to Ron and Ginny Weasley being both Gryffindors, just like Harry Potter and Hermione Granger, many of their features and accessories are the same, which is why I will feature them together in this post. My Dolly Week#69: Tweeting & Dolly-ing!

Welcome to another My Dolly Week; I hope that all of you are well and are also having lots of fun! Last week I threw myself into new endeavors and am still learning, which is always a good thing. Honestly, I hope that I will never get tired of learning new things ever!

My summery flower girls Ruri & Mayu! After ignoring Twitter for over a year because I never bothered to completely learn all of its features or how to properly communicate, I started it up again with the intention of being more personal in between the announcements of new posts and dolly pictures. I am still a bit shy and embarassed, but I hope that you like a sprinkle of Kpop and like to know, which films I am watching. 😉 And, the thing I am most nervous about, is that I want to post my dolly pics with Japanese captions, since I noticed way more Japanese dolly fans on Twitter than on Instagram. Please check out my account, I would love to see you over there! Continue reading My Dolly Week#69: Tweeting & Dolly-ing!
