Qposket: Alice in Wonderland (Special Coloring vol. 1)

It happened. I am in love with Qposket figures now. I bet, this statement is absolutely shocking nobody that is halfway familiar with the things I am investing my money in, so please look forward to my latest cutie: Alice from the Disney classic Alice in Wonderland, which is my most beloved Disney film ever! I got her in the recolored edition, since the original Alice figure that came out a few years ago, is far more expensive now. When I found out about the newer version, I did not want to miss out again and ordered her from Ebay.

Qposket's AliceIn general the figures of this series count 13,5 cm/5,3 inches, which is neither too big or too small in my opinion. I also like that they are quite sturdy. In the Qposket universe ‘recolored version’ basically means that her hair is painted in a color with a pearly sheen. The rest of the colors of her dress are slightly different as well, but the most prominent difference is definitely the shimmering metallic effect of her hair. If you are not a fan of this look, I highly recommend you to stay away from the recolored Qposket figures and to rather look for the original releases. My Dolly Week (#46+47): I’m back!

Welcome everybody! I am back after being sick for over a week. I haven’t had a fever in such a long time that it completely surprised me, how much it stops you in your tracks and makes a soup eating zombie out of you. Tomorrow it’s back to work, but I also wanted to make my way back onto Komonogatari, since writing has always given me drive for life in general.

Rise is Sailor Strawberry now!Something that made my absence on here bareable for me, is the fact that most Japanese companies are taking a break from the public this time of the year too and that there were no big announcements for me to be missed. I spent a lot of time on Instagram and discovered amazing people on there, while trying to do the occassional snapshot. The picture above with little Rise-chan as Sailor Strawberry was so hard to do while sweating like crazy and disinfecting my hands every few seconds. I hope that you will like my future posts – I have so much to share with you, since being sick apparently is no reason for me to not do a little shopping! ๐Ÿ˜‰

My biggest New Year’s resolution is definitely to be more mindful, when it comes to my health. So please take care of yourselves too!

Thank you so much for reading!

Happy New Year! Let’s Look At Dolly News! (MDW #45)

Good evening, everybody! We have less than four hours of 2017 left and I would like to take some time to talk mainly about new releases or dolly updates, since I had so little time to do that during the holidays! I might sound like a broken record, but December just flew by so quickly! All in all, 2017 was a wonderful year! It was the year I got married to the love of my life and my best friend, who reads every blog post, even though he does not collect dolls himself. Furthermore, the fact that I started this blog in late February and Instagram about one month later, which made it possible for me to meet so many lovely people and be lucky enough to befriend some of them, brings tears to my eyes! Thank you so much for your support! I cannot wait to have many more conversations in 2018! Thanks to you, it was one of the best years of my life!

Hattie is a sweet lolita! One year ago I had no idea, how to customize a Pullip and Hattie, Alice du Jardin Mint, probably had no idea either that she would go through a lot of changes, until I would be 100% happy with her look! The reason, why I chose Hattie to specifically photograph for today, is the fact that she was my first Pullip that I ever got. She moved in at the end of September 2016 and is now my perfect sweet lolita with sparkling pink eyechips from Lullaby For Dolls, a blonde Leeke wig, new fluttery lashes (I get them for a few bucks from Amazon) and the perfect dress from Sugar Lattice! My Dolly Week #44: Christmas Festivities and Their Consequences!

Welcome to the 44th Dolly Week and let me tell you: Celebrating with my family and all of my dolls swallowed all of my energy! I am still recovering. Especially my dolls look like the sweetest cuties, but they are such party animals in real life! I am a bit afraid of what New Year’s Eve will look like! Yikes! ๐Ÿ˜€ Furthermore, I am working through the holidays this year and I was so tired yesterday that I completely overslept. Thankfully, I did not get up to late, but you can imagine that I am not the best version of myself right now! >< But(!): I am SO excited to make more dolly content! It is a bit weird to me that I am not uploading daily anymore on my Instagram, but I still have some pictures up my sleeve and want to do a nice photoshoot for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day!

My Poison Girls Mayu, Rise & RuriOn Christmas Eve I wanted to share this picture of my Poison Girl cuties, who are wearing some of my favorite outfits and Mayu and Ruri are carrying Christmas handbags from La Prinfresa. I simply love Rudolph and the little Christmas tree. Their quality is out of this world and the details are simply so nice! I will use them every year from now on and I also saw online that they look so nice as ornaments on dolly sized trees! If that does not sound like a good investment, I truly do not know, what is! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Continue reading My Dolly Week #44: Christmas Festivities and Their Consequences!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas and happy holidays from me! ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope that everybody is having a great time with lots of fun and yummy treats! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Myra and SuzumeAll those pictures from my advent calendar, social events and work really consumed my time the last weeks. I am working hard to get back on track. I switched my editing software for my photographs and am not 100% comfortable with it yet. I promise to do my best nonetheless and am going to go back to writing the latest ‘My Dolly Week’ post!

Thank you so much for reading!

My Dolly Week #43: A New Batch of Twins!

Pullip Cassie & Pullip CalliePullip Cassie & Pullip CallieIt’s one week before Christmas and the air is feeling festive, while the days are getting shorter. Last week I shared my final dolly additions of the year on my Instagram: Pullip Callie and Pullip Cassie from Groove’s Creator’s Label line. They are collaborations with doll artists Happydolly/Memento and as kawaii as can be. Callie and Cassie are supposed to be twin sisters, so their face ups are super similar. Their biggest difference, in my opinion, lies in the shape of their lips. At first I only wanted to get one sister, but as you probably know, I am a weak soul. This is how these cuties are already the third pair of sisters in my collection after Clara and Chloi, Laura and Alura. Last week both of them were put into the ‘Last Chance’ section of Pullip Style, which means that they are not awaiting any further shipments of those two. I cannot say that I am surprised that they are selling out-and I can absolutely recommend them: They completely look like custom dolls and they come with a huge amount of stock pieces out of the highest quality! I named my Cassie ‘Hermione’ after my grandmother and Hermione Granger and my Callie is called ‘Audrey’ after my favorite actress Audrey Hepburn. ๐Ÿ™‚

Pullip Mayu in her gingerbread dress!Pullip Mayu in panda clothes!Mayu is wearing her festive dress from Mota de Algodรณn and looks absolutely enchanting! A few weeks ago, I was sceptical, whether Christmas-themed doll clothing would be ‘worth’ it, but after shopping around a bit, I have to say that it makes me super happy to see cuties like Mayu being enamored in their golden colored gingerbread dresses. Could you tell that theย  dress she is wearing, is actually made for Blythes?! It has such a nice fit on Mayu’s 27cm obitsu! I am so happy and cannot wait to show you some more of her in the next week! My goal for Mayu is to completely dress her up in kawaii clothes in the future. I think, it was the first step to turn her into a little panda girl, but in the future, she is going to be even more colorful than the rainbow. Wish me luck! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Continue reading My Dolly Week #43: A New Batch of Twins!

Meet Pullip Suzume with a Face Up by Mikiyochii: How to Style a Pullip around her Custom Face Up!

Pullip SuzumeA little girl of mine is ready to say ‘hello’ today to all of you: It’s Suzume, aka Suzy, who is my autumnal mori girl with a love for nature and green as her favorite color. I was super lucky to score a face up slot from talented German Pullip artist Mikiyochii, who was super nice throughout the process of creating the face up and I could not be happier with the outcome and cherish it forever and ever! Since it was my first time not getting a full custom, I wanted Suzume’s style to be extra cute and fitting to the image I had of her. I am now happy to be able to share the whole process with you around creating my Pullip’s character! My Dolly Week #42: Taking a Breather (but not without Dolls)!

Welcome to another My Dolly Week post, which I normally post on Sundays, but let me tell you: Last week I was so not up for it! I had no problem keeping up with my advent calendar, but for blogging it just didn’t seem right. i just couldn’t do it and felt bad all throughout the week. And for no particular reason either, but having times like these is only natural, I guess. One thing I did do, was organizing my doll collection and planning some customizations. I am also still learning how to paint face ups. I am improving, but am not ready to share them yet. I absolutely love the mocha kits, the complexion looks so beautiful, and I cannot wait to be content enough with my skills to add a mocha Pullip to my collection!

Rise by Poison Girl's Dolls in her Snow White dress.Coming back to my advent calendar, something I was saving for weeks, was Rise’s Snow White dress from It’s My Caprice. I am getting repetitive, when it comes to my admiration for Michelle’s work, but her dresses are little pieces of art, which I could never get tired of. The fact that she was able to interpret Snow White’s classical dress from the Disney movie into a more luxurious version, makes my heart sing everytime I look at Rise and her cute little face. I love the white collar out of lace so much and every detail on the hemline. Can you tell, how happy I am! >< I sure am a fangirl for everything Pullip and Pullip fashion! There will be more pictures with ‘Snow White with the Red Hair’ because fairytale motives make me happy! ๐Ÿ˜€ Continue reading My Dolly Week #42: Taking a Breather (but not without Dolls)!

My Dolly Week #41: Suzume & My Advent Calendar!

Welcome to another Sunday post, the first Sunday post in December, which means Christmas is just around the corner! Are you as excited about it as I am?! Let’s get started!

Pullip Suzume, Face Up by MikiyochiiWelcome Suzume, my little addition to my Pullip family. Her face up was done by Mikiyochii and I had lots of fun putting the rest of her look together. I will write a whole post about her, since she absolutely deserves it, but my idea was a cute mori girl with gold and green eye make up and reddish brown tones. Suzume can also be abbreviated to Suzy, which only makes her cuter in my opinion. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Charlotte, my Pullip MyraThe reason, why this December feels extra special to me, is the advent calendar consisting out of Pullip photographs I am doing this year. Including the close up of Suzume’s face today on Instagram, so far Charlotte, Minka and Felicia had an appearance in their festive outfits. I decided to talk more about my pictures on Sundays, since I can freely ramble around without having a bad conscience. Charlotte (Pullip Myra) is wearing a new outfit from It’s My Caprice, consisting out of a flowy top and cute puffy trousers. I got it almost a month ago, when I started planning my pictures. In the same train of thought, I should mention that doing things like an advent calendar, is so time demanding that I had a hard time to get any writing done. On the plus side, I have only three to four pictures to shoot left, so new blog posts should resume soon! ๐Ÿ˜€ Continue reading My Dolly Week #41: Suzume & My Advent Calendar!

How To Change Rubber Pullip Eyechips (on Pullip Summer Purezza)

This is going to be a quick post, since I already went super into detail in my previous post about changing plastic eyechips on Pullips. Click here to read the full article!

Pullip Summer Purezza before and after her customization.Instead of having to break the eyechips out of the eye mechanism’s sockets, you will have to cut them out with an exacto knife. I did not want to take any pictures of this process, since it was pretty gnarly looking. My recommendation would be, to cut directly into the middle of the rubber eyechips and to pull the pieces of rubber out of the sockets with your hands. In contrast to plastic eyechips, rubber eyechips are not reusable. The most delicate step is to make sure that no residue of the eyechips stays behind in the sockets, which you might need to again use your exacto knife for. It is important to be careful not to scratch the white plastic of the eye-mechanism in the process. The rest is pretty much a piece of cake!

I hope this short piece helped and thank you so much for reading!
