My Dolly Week #28: Just Married & Official Japan Diary Announcement!!
The big day was yesterday! Yay! 🙂 It was a lovely wedding and day to spend with our family and friends. We were engaged for a little bit less than two years now and finally being married still feels surreal to me. I completely crashed today after coming home and slept for a few hours, which means that it is finally time for the 28th Dolly Week!
Another exciting thing is that I can finally announce the start of my Japan diary on Instagram next week! I will also try and update Komonogatari (100% not missing my Sunday posts), but if you want your daily dose of Theri, you are welcome to check out my insta posts! 😉 My cutie mouse Ruri in the picture above is lying in a sea of pictures from our first Japan journey in 2012. I am beyond happy to be able to visit this wonderful place again. Is it too cliché to say that my heart sings?! 😀 I also want to thank everybody here on my blog, who congratulated me on the wedding. Thank you so, so much; you have made me super happy!
Pullip Nina arrived in the middle of very stressful finishing wedding touches and managed to brighten up my days immensely with her lovely face and orange toned make-up. Everything about her sweet 11 year-old face and stock surprised me! I especially love her little 2006 flip phone, which opens, closes and even comes with its own kawaii phone charm. I call my Nina Rola after the Japanese fashion model I really like.
Last week we also got two very lovely announcements for fans of Groove dolls, who love to make their own dolls: It is now official that Dal Mocha MIO kits are going to hit the stores soon! Equally great is the fact that Pullip Style started their pre-order for a bundle of 5 Pullip Mocha MIO kits. These 5 packs will be available in a limited number before single Pullip Mocha kits will be available in a couple of weeks. I won’t take the plunge for 5 kits at once, but am definitely having my heart set on at least two sets.
I am going to finish up on my computer now to pack my suitcase! Have a lovely week, a lovely start of fall and school everyone! I hope to see you all soon!
Thank you so much for reading!

Wig Haul #1: Leeke World & MIO
When I started collecting Pullips, I was sure that I was never going to change them out of their stocks. Little did I know, how much fun lies in customizing and how much creativity is truly involved for a cute result. Today I want to show you the first wigs that I got for my Pullips. I got five wigs from Korean retailer Leeke World and one from Groove’s own MIO line. All Leeke World wigs in this post are in the size 8-9 inches! Continue reading Wig Haul #1: Leeke World & MIO
My Dolly Week #27: MIO Dreams Came True!
Welcome, dear readers! We have now passed the six months mark and I want to express my gratitude to everybody, who likes to read my musings and likes my pictures! There will be a lot more fun content in the future, I promise! 😉
Last week was super exciting: My fiancé (who will be my husband in less than a week, time flies) gave me two MIO kits for my birthday. They are natural (skin toned) ones, which just got restocked on Pullipstyle. Even though they had to ship them all the way to Europe, everything went so nice and smoothly that I am a complete Pullipstyle convert now! Also, I cannot wait to paint my own face-ups. I will try to accept, how much I am going to suck at first, but I am sure, it is going to be a lot of fun! 😀 There is probably no time at all to start my projects before my honeymoon, but I already am working on my two new future girls’ concepts and hope to be able to translate it from paper into cute Pullips.
Equally exciting is the fact that 2006’s Pullip Nina will join my collection. I was checking listings on her for a while, but this week the prize for a NRFB doll suddenly dropped and now she is my next grail girl. I am so looking forward to her. She is already in customs and will arrive in a day or two. 😀 Hopefully, she will be okay and of course I am going to share my joy with all of you! 😉 Sharing dolly joy is so wonderful and my favorite thing about this hobby: It is so lovely to be excited for each other!
On Friday we took Miss Hattie on a trip to my friend’s hometown, where we were able to meet her donkey Apollo and her sister’s French bulldog Emma. We spent the whole day playing and I was positively exhausted. I took lots of pictures of Hattie and enjoyed my first experience of outside dolly photography. It is so cute to fit a Pullip into scenery, which I am absolutely positive will also be the case with different dollies. That’s why I also want to take some pictures in Japan with some new dolly friends that might cross my path. So please look forward to my future photographs! 😀 Continue reading My Dolly Week #27: MIO Dreams Came True!
Review: Azone Twinkle à la mode Aquamarine Alisa
Azone International is a Japanese doll company that releases a lot of dolls on a regular basis. They have different series and sizes with adorable designs. They are also known for their high quality stock outfit and love for details. It is not that easy to get your hands on Azones in Central Europe because retailers only get extremely limited stock, but things are changing, since Azone just recently started expanding their market by releasing their first North American exclusives, which makes me optimistic for the future. Today I am going to show you my first Azone doll, Aquamarine Alisa, a release from 2016!
Alisa is part of Azone’s series SAHRA’S à la mode. Sahra is an original character from Azone and she is a highschool girl, who loves to dress up with her friends. At first they were four girls in total, but now they are a group of five. Each year there is a new theme and it is so interesting, how the style of each individual doll differs from the year before. Last year’s theme of the SAHRA-series was Twinkle à la mode and was centered around gemstones. Alisa’s stone was the aquamarine, which compliments her eyes beautifully. As you can see, she is quite different from Pullip or Blythe dolls because she does not have an über dimensional large head. Although she has the same scale bodywise (her clothes fit my Pullips perfectly and vice versa), she seems a lot tinier to me. Also her eyes are painted on, which makes her a lot manga- or anime-like. Getting an Azone doll is definitely a new experience! The dolls in this series are on a 1/6 scale. Continue reading Review: Azone Twinkle à la mode Aquamarine Alisa
The Halfiversary Pullip and Pullip Family Wishlist
Yesterday my blog turned half a year old! Yay, I cannot believe how happy this little project of mine makes me and how many ideas are still piling up in my head. Almost a month ago, I shared another wishlist full of Pullips that have already sold out. Today I want to show you my wishlist of mostly readily available dolls and hope to hear about the Pullips on your wishlist in the comments!
Pullips from the Sailor Moon Series (2014-2017)
If you know my blog, you will know about my obsession with Sailor Moon and everything that is also remotely related. The fact that Groove does not stop releasing dolls from this franchise, makes it hard to choose. So far I own Pullip Princess Serenity and Pullip Sailor Neptune. We only have to wait a little bit longer until Pullip Eternal Sailor Moon’s release in mid September, which will be the only Sailor Moon Pullip I’ll be getting. As a completionist I want her to have the whole gang of inner senshi around: Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Venus.
From the outer senshi I am interested in Sailor Uranus and Sailor Pluto, who will look so nice next to Sailor Neptune. The final doll from this series on my priority list is Luna in her human form. She is quite seldom included in merchandise and she just makes a beautiful and sweet Pullip. She is often presented next to Princess Serenity and those two are an adorable pair! My Dolly Week #26: Catching zzzs!
The big day (my wedding) is coming up, so is my vacation from work and Theri is tired. So please excuse, if this week’s post is not totally wholesome and I am talking about myself in third person. Before I start diving into the post, I just wanted to mention that I am working backstage on new posts, such as Azone’s Aquamarine Alisa, Neo-Blythe Lorshek Molseh, Pullip Bloody Red Hood and my first Leeke World haul. So please stay tuned, I cannot wait to get more time to blog!
Last week was all about dolly appreciation. I squeezed in time to take pictures in the mornings and evenings, which let’s me question, what I will do in winter. But that’s just me, as always getting ahead of myself. One evening I found myself staring at this black wig, which just would not fit any of my dolls’ looks. But along comes Mayu, who can wear anything. I swear, she is so cute and pretty that uneven bangs and beach waves look easy breezy on her. She won’t wear this wig forever, but she is the perfect model for my wig haul. Otherwise my fiancé is going to be quite upset, since he loves Mayu’s original wig.
Speaking of my fiancé: He was a big factor in bringing home Pullip Cheshire Cat in Steampunk World directly from Japan last December. She is one of his favorites. I had to give her some love the past few days and more importantly: A name! So please welcome Miss Minka! Minka was my aunt cat’s name many decades ago and when I got together with my fiancé, his cat Minki was the apple of his eye. We miss her a lot and what is more beautiful to honor her by using her name on a Pullip we both love?! I miss having pets.
There were absolutely no official announcements from Groove or Takara Tomy last week. I think that’s a first one in 26 weeks. Which only leaves me to catch those zzzs and hope that verybody will have a good week!
Thank you so much for reading!

PS: Next week I am going to visit a donkey and French bulldog. Now that’s a lovely premise! 😀
My Dolly Week #25: mitsubashi@BabyBee – Love
I am a completionist. It is one of my biggest issues, when it comes to collecting. Oftentimes, when I am getting a certain doll, I immediately need to know, if there was another release in direct correlation to my new addition. This absolutely happened, when I first got Pullip Alura (review coming soon), a Creator’s Label release from 2015 with a face-up by the amazing mitsubashi@BabyBee. I started to read up more about her and found out about the prior Pullips she has worked on (there are more Creator’s Label Groove family dolls, but right now I am really trying not to think about them; Taeyang Natsume is so dreamy and so hard to find). My next cutie was My Melody X HEN-NAKO from 2016. I overlooked her at first and fell in love with her in person in Japan and am so happy that I was able to order her shortly thereafter because she disappeared from the shelves since then. Equally lucky were my finds of Kühn (review coming soon) from 2013 and Seila from 2012. Galene, one of the most beautiful Pullips ever in my eyes, also from 2012, followed my family thanks to Ebay. And Laura from 2015 is still available and completed my mini-collection some weeks ago.
I was itching to take a group shot of my beauties for so long, but I had to get Laura a different wig first. She is so beautiful, but I was always feeling a little bit unsure about her look. After I customized her, I can finally present you my cuties (top to bottom, left to right): Elodie Day (My Melody X HEN-NAKO), Tsukimi (Alura), Katie (Kühn), Wednesday (Laura), Gigi (Seila) and Hanako (Galene). I love them all so much with their dark rimmed eyes and high kitten eyeliner flicks (with the exception of Hanako/Galene). It is also no secret that Alura and Laura are hommages to Seila, but the three other girls also have something in common: Juicy red lips, which make my heart sing! It should not come as a surprise that I hope that we will see some more collaborations with mitsubashi@BabyBee in the future! Continue reading My Dolly Week #25: mitsubashi@BabyBee – Love
Review: Pullip Creator’s Label Laura
A lot of people worked on Pullip Laura to make an amazing Pullip release in 2015! Photographer Pure Embers, whose legal name is Laura, is behind Laura’s whole design. Laura is her vision. Her face-up was inspired by Pullip Seila and made by the same artist mitsubachi@BabyBee! Her outfit was made by Momolita and doll magazine Dolly Japan collaborated with the release as well, putting Pullip Laura on its cover. Continue reading Review: Pullip Creator’s Label Laura
My Dolly Week #24: ‘A Mad Tea Party’
Welcome to the 24th edition of My Dolly Week, which is my weekly Sunday post and this time I can show you some more finished mini-projects, which I really loved doing! 😀
As we all know, Groove has an obsession with Alice in Wonderland and I wanted to make a little photoshooting session with my three latest cuties, who just got ready with their customization. I decided on the chapter A Mad Tea Party, which is one of my favorites. Continue reading My Dolly Week #24: ‘A Mad Tea Party’
