When I started collecting Pullips, I was sure that I was never going to change them out of their stocks. Little did I know, how much fun lies in customizing and how much creativity is truly involved for a cute result. Today I want to show you the first wigs that I got for my Pullips. I got five wigs from Korean retailer Leeke World and one from Groove’s own MIO line. All Leeke World wigs in this post are in the size 8-9 inches! Continue reading Wig Haul #1: Leeke World & MIO

My Dolly Week #27: MIO Dreams Came True!
Welcome, dear readers! We have now passed the six months mark and I want to express my gratitude to everybody, who likes to read my musings and likes my pictures! There will be a lot more fun content in the future, I promise! 😉
Last week was super exciting: My fiancé (who will be my husband in less than a week, time flies) gave me two MIO kits for my birthday. They are natural (skin toned) ones, which just got restocked on Pullipstyle. Even though they had to ship them all the way to Europe, everything went so nice and smoothly that I am a complete Pullipstyle convert now! Also, I cannot wait to paint my own face-ups. I will try to accept, how much I am going to suck at first, but I am sure, it is going to be a lot of fun! 😀 There is probably no time at all to start my projects before my honeymoon, but I already am working on my two new future girls’ concepts and hope to be able to translate it from paper into cute Pullips.
Equally exciting is the fact that 2006’s Pullip Nina will join my collection. I was checking listings on her for a while, but this week the prize for a NRFB doll suddenly dropped and now she is my next grail girl. I am so looking forward to her. She is already in customs and will arrive in a day or two. 😀 Hopefully, she will be okay and of course I am going to share my joy with all of you! 😉 Sharing dolly joy is so wonderful and my favorite thing about this hobby: It is so lovely to be excited for each other!
On Friday we took Miss Hattie on a trip to my friend’s hometown, where we were able to meet her donkey Apollo and her sister’s French bulldog Emma. We spent the whole day playing and I was positively exhausted. I took lots of pictures of Hattie and enjoyed my first experience of outside dolly photography. It is so cute to fit a Pullip into scenery, which I am absolutely positive will also be the case with different dollies. That’s why I also want to take some pictures in Japan with some new dolly friends that might cross my path. So please look forward to my future photographs! 😀 Continue reading My Dolly Week #27: MIO Dreams Came True!
The Halfiversary Pullip and Pullip Family Wishlist
Yesterday my blog turned half a year old! Yay, I cannot believe how happy this little project of mine makes me and how many ideas are still piling up in my head. Almost a month ago, I shared another wishlist full of Pullips that have already sold out. Today I want to show you my wishlist of mostly readily available dolls and hope to hear about the Pullips on your wishlist in the comments!
Pullips from the Sailor Moon Series (2014-2017)
If you know my blog, you will know about my obsession with Sailor Moon and everything that is also remotely related. The fact that Groove does not stop releasing dolls from this franchise, makes it hard to choose. So far I own Pullip Princess Serenity and Pullip Sailor Neptune. We only have to wait a little bit longer until Pullip Eternal Sailor Moon’s release in mid September, which will be the only Sailor Moon Pullip I’ll be getting. As a completionist I want her to have the whole gang of inner senshi around: Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Venus.
From the outer senshi I am interested in Sailor Uranus and Sailor Pluto, who will look so nice next to Sailor Neptune. The final doll from this series on my priority list is Luna in her human form. She is quite seldom included in merchandise and she just makes a beautiful and sweet Pullip. She is often presented next to Princess Serenity and those two are an adorable pair! My Dolly Week #25: mitsubashi@BabyBee – Love
I am a completionist. It is one of my biggest issues, when it comes to collecting. Oftentimes, when I am getting a certain doll, I immediately need to know, if there was another release in direct correlation to my new addition. This absolutely happened, when I first got Pullip Alura (review coming soon), a Creator’s Label release from 2015 with a face-up by the amazing mitsubashi@BabyBee. I started to read up more about her and found out about the prior Pullips she has worked on (there are more Creator’s Label Groove family dolls, but right now I am really trying not to think about them; Taeyang Natsume is so dreamy and so hard to find). My next cutie was My Melody X HEN-NAKO from 2016. I overlooked her at first and fell in love with her in person in Japan and am so happy that I was able to order her shortly thereafter because she disappeared from the shelves since then. Equally lucky were my finds of Kühn (review coming soon) from 2013 and Seila from 2012. Galene, one of the most beautiful Pullips ever in my eyes, also from 2012, followed my family thanks to Ebay. And Laura from 2015 is still available and completed my mini-collection some weeks ago.
I was itching to take a group shot of my beauties for so long, but I had to get Laura a different wig first. She is so beautiful, but I was always feeling a little bit unsure about her look. After I customized her, I can finally present you my cuties (top to bottom, left to right): Elodie Day (My Melody X HEN-NAKO), Tsukimi (Alura), Katie (Kühn), Wednesday (Laura), Gigi (Seila) and Hanako (Galene). I love them all so much with their dark rimmed eyes and high kitten eyeliner flicks (with the exception of Hanako/Galene). It is also no secret that Alura and Laura are hommages to Seila, but the three other girls also have something in common: Juicy red lips, which make my heart sing! It should not come as a surprise that I hope that we will see some more collaborations with mitsubashi@BabyBee in the future! Continue reading My Dolly Week #25: mitsubashi@BabyBee – Love
Review: Pullip Creator’s Label Laura
A lot of people worked on Pullip Laura to make an amazing Pullip release in 2015! Photographer Pure Embers, whose legal name is Laura, is behind Laura’s whole design. Laura is her vision. Her face-up was inspired by Pullip Seila and made by the same artist mitsubachi@BabyBee! Her outfit was made by Momolita and doll magazine Dolly Japan collaborated with the release as well, putting Pullip Laura on its cover. Continue reading Review: Pullip Creator’s Label Laura
My Dolly Week #24: ‘A Mad Tea Party’
Welcome to the 24th edition of My Dolly Week, which is my weekly Sunday post and this time I can show you some more finished mini-projects, which I really loved doing! 😀
As we all know, Groove has an obsession with Alice in Wonderland and I wanted to make a little photoshooting session with my three latest cuties, who just got ready with their customization. I decided on the chapter A Mad Tea Party, which is one of my favorites. Continue reading My Dolly Week #24: ‘A Mad Tea Party’
Review: Pullip Blanche
Some time ago, Pullip Blanche’s face appeared on my computer screen and her beautiful face immediately struck me. At that time I had no idea, who she was and so my search for her started. Turns out, she was released in 2007 when Pullip was still produced under Jun Planning and not Groove. She is on a type-3 body and, being ten years old, pretty hard to find due to her still ongoing popularity in the Pullip community. I was lucky to get her NRFB and in mint condition, although type-3 bodies are prone to breaking, especially their fragile wrists. Continue reading Review: Pullip Blanche
My Dolly Week #23: New Header, Feeling Fresh!
Welcome to My Dolly Week! I am not going to lie: Due to the many things that have to be done before my wedding, I am lucky, if I can sqeeze in a little bit of dolly time during the day. Our wedding is going to be pretty small, so I have no idea how other people are handling more guests-no wonder wedding planners are in such high demand! >< It definitely hurts to have my blog sit on the backburner a little bit, but the pressure lessens, the more we can cross of our list. This week I have finally found my dress and we also got my fiancé’s suit. At least there is no wondering anymore, if we will ever find something we like. And: Men have it so much easier, it’s crazy!
Nonetheless, there were some awesome dolly moments, when Mayu’s new kitten hat from Juja Shop arrived in the mail all the way from Russia. I discovered them through María and the craftsmanship is no joke! It fits so perfectly, the mohair wool feels so nice and it immediately transforms your doll into a sweet kitty cat! She also has the most amazing hats for Blythes-those watermelon hats, I tell you! <3 I also hope that you like this rosy photograph of Ruri and Mayu and the new blog header. We are almost six months in and I wanted a slight change! 🙂
Customizing my stock dolls is also really taking over. I ordered eyechips from Lullaby for Dolls and loved playing around with them. Elise (Pullip Classical Alice) is currently wearing Menthe Glaciale, while Alice (Pullip Alice du Jardin Mint Ver.) is wearing Minuit. I haven’t figured out their outfits yet, but I was so happy that the weather had cooled off for a few days that Alice got my version of a Pride & Prejudice look. There will be some more playing around next week, I promise! Continue reading My Dolly Week #23: New Header, Feeling Fresh!
My Wishlist of Pullip Grails
As soon as you get interested in dolls, you will get aware of the definition of grails that people talk about. A grail is a sold out and therefore hard to find doll that is on the very top of your wishlist. Some people only have one grail, but I am super loose with this definition and love it to find older Pullips that add beautifully to my collection. Grails are like magical unicorns that love to cross your way from time to time! 😀
1) Kore (2014)
The release of Pullip Kore is a tale about a beautiful doll inspired by the works of Alfons Mucha, who at first completely flew under most collectors’ radar, only to suddenly sell out completely and never to get back into production (as of this point). Her bright blue eyes and lovely pastel colors are divine, but right now she is pretty much unattainable, since she goes for crazy prices on Ebay. Continue reading My Wishlist of Pullip Grails
My Dolly Week #21: Planning a Wedding and Relaxing with Dollies!
We are now at the end of the 21st Dolly Week and pretty slowly things are becoming more serious, when it comes to the planning of my wedding. Yesterday we were driving around all day to meet with the photographer, florist, baker and owners of the location. Now everything is swirling around in my head and I made notes, as if I was still in school to not forget tiny details like getting the right kind of napkins. The last few months I was absolutely not in the mood to get married and throw a party, but now that all friends of our tiny circle have RSVP’d, I feel extremely lucky and thankful to have the opportunity to celebrate with everybody that I love.
Dolly-wise Ruri and Mayu were the first to model the most adorable bunny sets from Barcelona based Nénelle et Lalluli. Their doll clothes are beyond adorable and I am so happy to have been fast enough to buy the baby blue and baby pink version. The details are immensly sweet and lovely-look at this fluffy bunny tail! I also recommend the brand’s blog because it is so much fun to look at all their beautiful past designs. Definitely worth to follow on social media to know, when anything new is going on sale!
