Pullip Callie is one out of two Pullip dolls, which were released in 2016 in Groove’s Creator’s Label series in collaboration with Thai doll artists Happydolly and Memento. Happydolly created the face ups and Memento the outfits. Pullip Callie is the twin sister of Pullip Cassie, who I reviewed here. The twins Pullip Callie and Cassie are sold separately. Review: Pullip Creator’s Label Cassie
Pullip Cassie is a Pullip Creator’s Label release from 2016. Cassie and her twin sister Callie are a collaboration with Thai doll artists Happydolly, who did the face up, and Memento, who was in charge of designing the outfits. Their flair is very girly and flirty with lots of lace and pastel colours. Today I am going to review Pullip Cassie, the sister in the blue outfit. Comparing Pullip Cassie and Pullip Callie’s Face Ups!
Pullip Cassie und Pullip Callie are 2016 Creator’s Label line releases that were designed by doll artists Happydolly/Memento. Approaching to write about those two seemed a bit intimidating, so I decided to start with a post comparing both of their face ups, before each of these cuties will get their own reviews. I have written about Groove Pullip twins before, Pullips Clara and Chloi, but those two are sporting different colour schemes, while Cassie and Callie actually seem to share the same taste in make up. But don’t be fooled: There are some distinct differences, which do play a big role in creating their sweet expressions!

My Dolly Week #54: Clear Lan & A Wedding Usagi!
It is ‘Dolly Week’ time! I hope that March welcomed you all warmly and that everybody is doing well! Last week I tested out a wonderful clothing brand for all kinds of dollies and we got some pretty surprising news from Groove Inc., regarding two new June releases. Let’s start!
The clothing brand I was just writing about and I completely fell in love with, is ‘Clear Lan‘. It is based in Singapore and offers to make clothes fitting for various dolls and body types. After ordering, you enter a waiting period and its length depends on how many orders came in before yours. I only had to wait for two weeks, before I got the shipping confirmation. But honestly, I would not have minded waiting longer for something that truly fits my obitsu girls! In the picture above, Mayu is wearing two tops from Clear Lan: A long sleeved tight fitting beige turtleneck sweater out of thin cotton and a dark red coloured strappy top on top of it. I just love that their clothes are inspired by contemporary Asian fashion, especially this combination feels like something you could encounter on Korean streets! Mayu likes to combine her lovely tops with a asymmetrical skirt by Jiajiadoll and crimson tights. Doesn’t she look ready for dance lessons?! My (Updated) Blogiversary Dolly Wishlist!
I am so excited for this post and have so much to update, since I have decided to only share my dolly wishlist every six months! This way, it is way easier for me to evaluate, which girls I actually want to move in with me (after the first phase of infatuation) and to keep track with the overall number of my cuties. This is also the first post, where I am going to talk about different types of dolls I really like and about my current collection, for example about which changes some girls might go through in the future. Let’s start! Continue reading My (Updated) Blogiversary Dolly Wishlist!
Review: Pullip Dilettante (2014)
Pullip Dilettante was one of the first Pullips that I discovered online and instantly loved. There is something about this girl, released in early 2014, which left me fascinated. Her concept is being a hard-working business girl in the big city, therefore her stock is quite unusual for a Pullip, being extremely chic business attire. I love otherworldly concepts, but sometimes it’s nice to have a selection of clothes that are more realistic in an adults day to day life, while still being super fancy. In her official description it does not say, how much her name ‘Dilettante’ actually refers to her character, but the way this girl is wearing her make-up and is dressing up, doesn’t scream dilettante to me! 😉
My Dolly Week #40: 2018 Will Be As Sweet As Pullip Cinnamoroll!
As if last week, was not exciting enough for Pullip fans like me, the latest Pullip announcement was made yesterday for Pullip Cinnamoroll! Yes, my favorite Sanrio character will be the inspiration for my favorite doll! I am so happy and excited that the promotional images of her do not disappoint at all and that Cinamoroll’s 15th birthday will get even more special!
I am in full Christmas preparations in my house because I would like to make a dolly advent calender and post a picture every day on my Instagram. After six posts, I will share them on here in a combined post with additional informations and thoughts about my dolls. I want it to be casual doll fun, since the holidays can be a quite stressful time for many people. I am already planning lots of cute pictures and will also share some new dollies with you! It is probably needless to say that Ruri and Mayu will make several appearances. There are still some things I have to get in the mail first, but it should all work out!
In the meantime, my first two Poison Girls are wearing the cutest animal inspired outfits. Petit Creayations has the sweetest kitty fabrics, I have ever seen and combines them with playful designs. To say that I am in love with Ruri’s ensemble, is quite an understatement. Even her accessories are kitty-themed, her pink hat is from Juja Shop and her ballet flats and tights are from Hello Cool Cat. While Ruri is looking quite catty, her sister Mayu has transformed into a cute panda bear with a shirt and skirt from Cositas de Nenitas. Being a panda suits her so well in my opinion! The whole outfit compliments her hair and make up very nicely. When it comes to Mayu, I want to style her hair more fairy kei in the future and that is why I added the ice cream clip from Junie Moon. My Dolly Week #39: Groove is Back on Track with Pullip Nanette Erica Ver., Pullip Himawari and Pullip Eileen for Spring 2018!
Welcome to an amazing Dolly Week! As many of you might know, I finally started collecting Pullips in 2016, which was a year full of several amazing releases per month. Since I am writing this blog, Pullip releases have been a rare thing and to say that I was worried, is an understatement. My thoughts were pretty much that I might have started, when it was all coming to an end. But today, I finally have great news about upcoming releases, which I am excited about and immediately started budgeting for.
Before talking about them though, I spent my week customizing and styling my dolls. Elise, my Pullip Classical Alice, I already had customized before, but desperately needed new lashes. From some angles, her expression looked off because her stock lashes looked so thin with her new sparkling mint eyechips. I am much happier with her now and it seems like Elise is too! The more you customize your dolls, the more your skills grow and the more you will know, how you like to style your dolls. In these pictures, she met deer Gustav for the first time, who recently moved in, when I was browsing for dolly sized Christmas stuff!
The girl, who needed most of my attention, was Poppy, my Summer Purezza. Her early type-3 body was so floppy that I hated myself, but could not prevent myself from calling her ‘Floppy Poppy’ in my mind. Look, who is now looking like an absolute queen with her new obitsu body! Floppy Poppy, no more! She also got new eyechips, new lashes and a new wig. Her look is now very grown-up and I am so grateful that everything went well! I am going to write up a quick post about changing rubber eyechips. Doing things for the first time is scary, but so educational at the same time! My Dolly Week #38: Dolly Denim and Obitsus!
Welcome to another Dolly Week on my blog! This week has been super duper interesting, when it comes to new releases, but I also finally started some projects to rebody my older Pullip girls, since I brought home four obitsus in total from Japan.
The first girl I rebodied was Natalia, my Pullip Blanche. Although I do not massively hate the Pullip type-3 bodies, they do tend to make your Pullips quite stiff looking and do not allow them to pose properly. Especially the type-3 neck was bugging me, since it looks way too unnatural. Natalia always seemed to stick her head way forward in comparison to her type-4 and obitsu bodied sisters. I plan to do a more detailed post about my girls’ different body types, but for Natalia I decided on a flesh toned 27 cm obitsu, since I went for the same height as Mayu and Ruri, which I had misjudged in the past as 24cm tall. In the future, I do plan to get some of the new 24cm obitsus, but since my type-3 girls seem more grown-up anyway, they are all going to be taller than that. May I just say that I love Natalia’s new look?! I also dressed her up in the coolest dolly ensemble from Atelier Milabrocc ever! Those perfect embroidered and distressed Mom jeans are going to be a staple in my dolly wardrobe for years!
Speaking of denim from Atelier Milabrocc, before she released the set with the jeans and the equally stylish sweater, she made the most adorable shorts in the same style. My Pullip wardrobe is full of dresses and skirts, lilacs and pinks, which I both wanted to mix up a bit (nevermind, the pink embroideries on the denim…they don’t count!). Minnie, my Charon Dolls’ custom Pullip, was the first one to try on those glorious shorts in combination with a cropped lilac knit sweater-from Atelier Milabrocc as well. Can you tell that I like her work?! 😀 Minnie looks a bit rockabilly and like a cool pastel chick in general. I am super pleased-she needs to wear the most out of this outfit before it gets too cold! My Dolly Week #37: Seeing Red!
Welcome to another Dolly Week! I hope that everyone is having a lovely time, even though Halloween is over! 😉 I was a bit sad at first because the time for scary and cute decorations is over, but now I am free to plan Komonogatari‘s first Christmas, which will be equally exciting for me and my dolls. So please stay excited and let’s start!
Some things in life do not change. They still feel like the first time and leave you completely in awe with your happiness not wearing of whatsoever. This is how I feel about my dolls from María, the artist behind Poison Girl’s Dolls. Two days ago the most precious and prettiest (not to mention earliest) Christmas gift ever showed up on my door step: A little redhead called Rise, who is my warm and toasty doll family addition for the cold season. I am planning to dedicate a blog post to her next Thursday and in the meantime I could not help myself, but take pictures of her next to Mayu and Ruri.
Aren’t those three the cutest?! María was so lovely to include some goodies into the package, of which these lovely Chip’n’Dale dolls were part of! They are part of the Ufufy series, which is finally available in European Disney stores! Great news, especially for doll fans, since their sizes vary from the Japanese ones. We finally have doll-sized Disney plushies available! I am so happy and a big thank you to María for the wonderful presents! <3
When looking at those three, I believe that Mayu is the oldest sister, while Ruri is a very responsible middle child and Rise is the little sister. While Mayu likes to space out after photoshoots, Ruri seems to be saying: ‘Oh, no! Why are Chip’n’Dale already tumbling down…we just got them!’. 😀 You can see all of María’s beautiful photographs of Rise in her blog’s gallery! Continue reading My Dolly Week #37: Seeing Red!
