If you are a fan of Sailor Moon or a silly schoolgirl with a heart of gold called Usagi Tsukino, you are probably going to have a hard time choosing your favorite Pullip version of this beloved character. So far there have been four Pullip doll releases: Sailor Moon, Super Sailor Moon, Eternal Sailor Moon and Princess Serenity from 2015, who today’s review is all about. Even though I am a big Sailor Moon fan, collecting the various releases proved to be quite a difficult task for me, since most dolls come with little stock and higher prices. While I do intend to get Pullip Eternal Sailor Moon in the near future, Princess Serenity’s stock is so beautiful and her face up has such nice details that I could not get her out of my head and she ended up being the second addition from the Sailor Moon series after Sailor Neptune in my collection! My Dolly Week #36: My Week of Utena!
Happy Sunday, everybody! Halloween is so close! Only two days of October are left and it is going to be quite hard for me to let go of everything spooky…although to be completely honest, my dollies do not actually qualify as scary! π
Mayu and Ruri are trying hard to get their hands on the biggest amount of Halloween candy they can find. If they succeed, will be revealed on October 31st on my Instagram! π I also already heard them talking about their costumes for next year. So we might have to keep that in mind for our future purchases. >< Sometimes I feel like they absolutely have me wrapped around their tiny plastic fingers!
A really lovely costume would be one of the upcoming Revolutionary Girl Utena outfits sets, which I am still not done hyping about. This week more than ever because I actually watched all 39 episodes of the anime in the last seven days. It helped that there were quite a lot of recap episodes and many scenes were repetitive, which is nothing new for the Magical Girl genre. You might have guessed that I got very emotionally involved in it and am now looking forward to the upcoming Utena Pullip even more. Anthy is kind of making me sad in the style she is coming in. I would have to customize her to remind me of a happier part of the story. Thankfully, my MVP is little monkey Chu Chu, who comes with Anthy’s school uniform – I have absolutely no debates, whether to get this set or not! π Continue reading My Dolly Week #36: My Week of Utena!
Review: Pullip Outfit Selection Valletta Set
I have never been to Valletta myself, but at least I get to show you Groove Inc.’s Valletta set from their Outfit Selection line. My model for this post is Felicia my Pullip Optical Alice, whose complexion looks beautiful in dark navy and red. The main optic of this set is a preppy school uniform that fits a Pullip’s type-4 body like a glove. It includes a headband, a blazer, a blouse, a skirt, kneesocks and shoes. Basically, everything you need for a cute look to play with! Continue reading Review: Pullip Outfit Selection Valletta Set
My Dolly Week #35: The Countdown to Halloween Has Begun!
Welcome to another Sunday post on Komonogatari! The 35th one to be precise, which is a tiny little bit unbelievable for me, but also makes me very happy! Another thing that is super fun for me is my Halloween countdown, which you can follow everyday on my Instagram account since Friday. I have been preparing everything for about two weeks and am pretty happy to be now able to share it little by little, day by day with all of you.
Although I have this Halloween series going down on Instagram, I will still have my regular posts on Komonogatari. My plan is it to stick to my current schedule of posting on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. I am super duper looking forward to showing you all of my dollies’ Halloween outfits and hope that you will also enjoy my rhymes. π
While the weather is getting colder, I pretty much clothed my whole collection in warmer clothes, so please look forward towards lots of layering! And speaking of new outfits: Groove announced their second collaboration with the anime Revolutionary Girl Utena in the form of two new sets for their Outfit Selection line featuring Utena and Anthy’s (school) uniforms. Can I just say that I really love Anthy’s uniform? It is so super cute that I am definitely going to pick it up. The turquoise collar and skirt in combination with the puffy sleeves of the blouse will look incredible not just on Anthy, but also on Pullips you already have in your collection! These sets are going to be released in Japan in January and can I just say that I am also really hyped that Groove is finally releasing more outfits for our dollies?!
What was your dolly week like?
Thank you so much for reading!

Meet Iris Mint by Charon Dolls!
Iris Mint is a child of spring! She is a full custom Pullip by Charon Dolls and was created for the Omocha Crush Tea Party in London last May. She immediately caught my eye, since I am loving all things pastel and mint, but unfortunately I did not have the funds for her at the time and tried to let her go in my mind. That I am still super lucky to now be able to call her part of my collection must have been destiny! π
If you are familiar with Charon’s work, you will already know that she creates her Pullips after certain themes. The name Iris Mint says it all: We are talking about the prettiest minty iris flower ever! My favorite make-up point are the actual iris blossoms, which Iris Mint is rocking on her lower lashline and on her eyelids on a base of matte mint. Her eyeshadow is a lighter mint with a pearly sheen in the inner and a pastel lilac in the outer corners. The transition of the shades is flawless. For the eyeliner Charon chose a dark brownish aubergine with the cutest little curling flick at the outer corners. To complete the look with a special pop of color, Iris Mint is wearing a dash of hot pink in the inner corners of her eyes. The hot pink works so phenomenally well; Minnie (that’s my nickname for her) is an accumulation of happy colors! To complement her stylish look, Charon picked out deep indigo blue eyechips with purple shimmer from Lullaby for Dolls. These eyechips are simply perfect for giving her gaze a certain depth and curiosity! Have you noticed Minnie’s nostrils?! I love them so much! Continue reading Meet Iris Mint by Charon Dolls!
My Dolly Week #33: Names and Harmonia Bloom!
Remember last week, when I was talking about how much I love October? I still love it, but this post is probably on the edge of delirious, since I caught a cold, when I was out watching foliage during my work break. π But now let’s talk about dolls and not the fact that I need to introduce more vitamins to my diet!
When it comes to names, I actually enjoy changing my dolls’ names to add more to their personality and to give myself more inspiration, when it comes to styling and photography. Pullip Marie though, even after I customized her, still perfectly feels like a Marie. I was debating several other names, but Marie is Marie and that’s that! π She is such a cool girl, I was really surprised, how much she is able to pull off black clothes.
Naming the Pullips from the Le Petit Prince series was so difficult! If a doll is already called ‘The Fox‘ and ‘The Rose‘ your creativity gets killed and so Pullip The Rose is now called Bara, which is the Japanese word for rose and short version for the Czech name Barbora. Pullip The Fox is Ki-chan, which is short for kitsune, Japanese for fox. I really hope that I will not run out of ideas soon. I also cannot imagine calling a Pullip Shion, like Groove’s upcoming realease, since Shion is the name of an anime figure out of a horror story called Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. Ugh, having an actual Shion in my dolly family would probably drive me just as crazy as the Shion in the anime! >< Creepy stuff, but perfect for Halloween and recommended by yours truly-but honestly, I would never watch it again! Once is more than enough!
Have you heard about Harmonia Bloom, the new collections of dolls, which is going to be released by Good Smile Company, home of the Nendoroids, early next year?! I have kind of mixed feelings, but am kind of intrigued by the blonde cutie above, whose expression speaks most to me. The reason, why I am suddenly writing about them, is the fact that they got featured quite a bit in my Twitter feed, since there is an article in the newest issue of Dollybird, which hopefully means that we will be getting more information about their release soon.
Now I would like to know, if you name your dolls and what do you think about the Harmonia Bloom line! Are you excited or is another collection more up your alley?
Thank you so much for reading!

My Dolly Week #32: Is it Halloween already?!
Welcome everybody at the very beginning of my favorite month: October! The air feels fresh and crisp with the excitement of Halloween being only a few weeks away. Unfortunately, Halloween is not really a thing in Central Europe and is pretty much looked down on as imported holiday-which has never stopped me to absolutely love it! π Pumpkins, black cats, witches, bats and ghosts are seriously my thing. This is why I am so thankful to be finally able to share my love for Halloween this year through blogging and taking pictures. Etsy also is kind of a dangerous place for me at the moment…but I am digressing. ><
Last week everyday life started to set in, which also means me making plans for the future of Komonogatari and trying to work on a schedule, which I will be able to fulfill on a weekly basis. I am not completely sure yet, which days besides Sunday will become regular posting days, but if there is something, which I am not lacking anything of, it is blogging material with lots of different projects, hauls and reviews. I might have amazing news in the following week, but I do not want to jinx it right now. Please be patient for a little while longer! <3
No secret is that I am gathering all of the tools that I will be needing to customize my MIO kits. Right now, I am still missing some acrylic colors and sanding paper, but I finally need to conquer my fear of failing and start these projects. I have some concepts in my mind, but I know that the really troubling part for me is to decide on one. Basically, if I have finished on one concept of a doll that would add beautifully to my collection, the next one follows immediately. >< Continue reading My Dolly Week #32: Is it Halloween already?!
My Dolly Week #31: Reunited with Munchkins!
Finally being on time, I can share how good it feels to be surounded by my darling dollies again! Even though I was having so, so much fun, I could not be happier to be reunited with all of my munchkins and introduce them to Poppy and Sayaka. And I have to admit: It is a little overwhelming to have so many opportunities to take pictures again, even though the big window in our hotel was awesome!
I really hope that you will enjoy my shopping guide, which went online early today and which I was looking forward to writing in months! π I am so happy to have finished this major passion project of mine! There will be more Japan posts, since I want to write them, while everything is still fresh in my memory!
Which brings me to the load of new announcements that I have and want to write about! The most exciting one is definitely how beautiful Groove’s upcoming Pullips in collaboration with anime series Revolutionary Girl Utena are! I need to catch up the series to have an excuse for acquiring these beauties! π I really love that Groove did their eye makeup in a typical anime-style, as they did with the Rose of Versailles and Madoka Magica dolls! They will be released in December, which means that they will probably be the last Pullip releases of 2017. Time flies crazily fast! Continue reading My Dolly Week #31: Reunited with Munchkins!
Where to buy Pullips in Tokyo!
I have visited Tokyo four times now, twice as a Pullip admirer and twice as a Pullip collector. Seeing Pullips in person in different stores is something very special and definitely influences your view on certain models, when you see their individual beautiful faces in person. As I have found out in the past, there are places, which are overwhelmingly amazing and some are a little disappointing, when it comes to your expectations. That is exactly, why I am writing this article to give my honest insights to help you get the Pullip experience you want.
Radio/Rajio Kaikan in Akihabara
Radio Kaikan is a big complex of different Japanese hobby related stores, full of figures, gashapon and goodies for doll collectors! Fans of BJDs might already have heard from it, since the Volks Store is on the 8th floor, but there are three stores on three different floors in total, which sell Pullip dolls.
The most famous one is the Azone Labelshop on the 7th floor, which primarily sells its own brand of cute dolls, but also carries a nice selection of recent Pullips next to a cute display case. They also sell MIO products and nude dolls, even though they do not come cheap for a price of approximately 8000 yen. Super exciting is the big selection of obitsu products and Azone’s own Pure Neemo clothing, which can also fit Pullips. My favorite pieces are two kimonos, which I will show in a separate dolly haul soon. If you are a fan of other dolls than Azones or Pullips, you also have a selection of Cu-Poche, Blythes, Momokos and Rurukos. It is also wonderful to browse their lovely displays, which you are allowed to take pictures of. There goes a lot of detail into these and you can basically feel the dolly love! My Dolly Week #28: Just Married & Official Japan Diary Announcement!!
The big day was yesterday! Yay! π It was a lovely wedding and day to spend with our family and friends. We were engaged for a little bit less than two years now and finally being married still feels surreal to me. I completely crashed today after coming home and slept for a few hours, which means that it is finally time for the 28th Dolly Week!
Another exciting thing is that I can finally announce the start of my Japan diary on Instagram next week! I will also try and update Komonogatari (100% not missing my Sunday posts), but if you want your daily dose of Theri, you are welcome to check out my insta posts! π My cutie mouse Ruri in the picture above is lying in a sea of pictures from our first Japan journey in 2012. I am beyond happy to be able to visit this wonderful place again. Is it too clichΓ© to say that my heart sings?! π I also want to thank everybody here on my blog, who congratulated me on the wedding. Thank you so, so much; you have made me super happy!
Pullip Nina arrived in the middle of very stressful finishing wedding touches and managed to brighten up my days immensely with her lovely face and orange toned make-up. Everything about her sweet 11 year-old face and stock surprised me! I especially love her little 2006 flip phone, which opens, closes and even comes with its own kawaii phone charm. I call my Nina Rola after the Japanese fashion model I really like.
Last week we also got two very lovely announcements for fans of Groove dolls, who love to make their own dolls: It is now official that Dal Mocha MIO kits are going to hit the stores soon! Equally great is the fact that Pullip Style started their pre-order for a bundle of 5 Pullip Mocha MIO kits. These 5 packs will be available in a limited number before single Pullip Mocha kits will be available in a couple of weeks. I won’t take the plunge for 5 kits at once, but am definitely having my heart set on at least two sets.
I am going to finish up on my computer now to pack my suitcase! Have a lovely week, a lovely start of fall and school everyone! I hope to see you all soon!
Thank you so much for reading!
