My Dolly Week #35: The Countdown to Halloween Has Begun!

Pullip Wednesday with CinnamorollHanako and GigiWelcome to another Sunday post on Komonogatari! The 35th one to be precise, which is a tiny little bit unbelievable for me, but also makes me very happy! Another thing that is super fun for me is my Halloween countdown, which you can follow everyday on my Instagram account since Friday. I have been preparing everything for about two weeks and am pretty happy to be now able to share it little by little, day by day with all of you.

Ruri-chan as SherlockAlthough I have this Halloween series going down on Instagram, I will still have my regular posts on Komonogatari. My plan is it to stick to my current schedule of posting on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. I am super duper looking forward to showing you all of my dollies’ Halloween outfits and hope that you will also enjoy my rhymes. 😉

While the weather is getting colder, I pretty much clothed my whole collection in warmer clothes, so please look forward towards lots of layering! And speaking of new outfits: Groove announced their second collaboration with the anime Revolutionary Girl Utena in the form of two new sets for their Outfit Selection line featuring Utena and Anthy’s (school) uniforms. Can I just say that I really love Anthy’s uniform? It is so super cute that I am definitely going to pick it up. The turquoise collar and skirt in combination with the puffy sleeves of the blouse will look incredible not just on Anthy, but also on Pullips you already have in your collection! These sets are going to be released in Japan in January and can I just say that I am also really hyped that Groove is finally releasing more outfits for our dollies?!

What was your dolly week like?

Thank you so much for reading!

More Perfect Gashapon For Your Dolls!

Are you ready for more gashapon that are perfect for your dolls and for your (in my case imaginary) doll house?! Then let’s begin right away! 😉

Camera Keyrings

Charlotte with an oldschool camera.Back of gashapon camera.Gashapon cameras.Gashapon Cameras.I was so happy, when I found these! These keyrings (the actual keyrings can be super easily removed) came in two different designs with tons of different color variations. The first design imitates an oldschool camera, which looks pretty cool. But I had to play three times until I got the modern looking DSLR, which I really wanted for my dolls to have. Both kinds light up by pressing a button in accordance with a super fake sounding shutter noise. From my experience, I only saw this machine once and it sold out pretty quickly. Also the sound and light effect is already broken on one camera and pretty weak on another, which let’s me guess that they are pretty old. So get on it as long as you still can!

‘Neko no Kaburimono’: The most perfect Gashapon for your Dolls!

My Halloween hats from the gashapon machine!‘Neko no Kaburimono’ from Kitan Club are little hats for your cats that you can get from gasha or capsule toy machines. Unfortunately, I have no patient kitty cat on hand to tell you, how those hats fulfill their purpose on a living and breathing cutie, but when the right kind of gashapon machines finally crossed my path, I initially had to get some for my dolly collection. These hats have actually been around for quite a while, but when I was visiting Tokyo, there were several series available, which I am going to show you right now!

The fit from the sides!Detail of the ghost! The hats from above! The pumpkin on my Neo-Blythe!The machine, where the hats came from! The newest series is a set out of four different Halloween themed designs, which I was so extremely happy about, since it is my favorite holiday! 😀 I managed to get three different hats for 500 Yen each (sadly, I missed out on the bat) and I was super suprised how detailed each of them is! The hats from this series are a little big on a Pullip and a little snug on a Blythe, but still very adorable on both! The Halloween hats do come with more fabric than the hats from other series, which covers the neck and upper part of the shoulder area. They are all soft and plushy. My ghost hat still looks a bit wonky, since it came out of the capsule, but I love it nonetheless and cannot decide on a favorite! My Dolly Week #30: Summarizing my 2nd Week in Japan!

Pullip Summer Purezza and Pullip PrunellaWelcome to the latest Dolly Week yet, which gives me the chance to catch up on my second week in Japan, after I was crashing super hard due to jet-lag. I cannot remember ever being this tired and having my bio-rhythm destroyed after my previous Japan travels. Also I was trying to make the best out of the last days there and tried not to get super sad because I love Tokyo so much! Tomorrow I will post a full on Dolly Week post with all new announcements and how I plan to work through all of the material, I have gathered while being away.

Poison Girls Ruri and MayuThis leads me to say that the second week of my honeymoon passed way too quickly. I managed to daily update my Instagram account (all posts will be listed after the jump), but it just got super hard to concentrate on the writing of this Dolly Week’s post, which I want to apologize myself for. The same applies to the answering of comments.

Munchkins Ruri and MayuWhen it comes to dolly purchases, I have been pretty good by mostly buying the three missing obitsu bodies for my type-3 girls and some more shoes. Because, if there is one thing a dolly collector always seems to be missing, are a proper pair of shoes to fit a certain outfit. I really wanted to take Pullip Eternal Sailor Moon home with me, but resisted, since it is a way more sensible option to get her through Western retailers. I did had to put in all of my restraint, though – like for all the gorgeous Azone dolls in the Azone International Store, but my luggage space simply said ‘no’! (Ask my hubby, how the packing on the last night went…haha!)

I will now go to work on writing my post on the Junie Moon store in Shinjuku and also hope to see everybody tomorrow in Dolly Week #31! 😉

Thank you so much for reading!

My Dolly Week #28: Just Married & Official Japan Diary Announcement!!

The big day was yesterday! Yay! 🙂 It was a lovely wedding and day to spend with our family and friends. We were engaged for a little bit less than two years now and finally being married still feels surreal to me. I completely crashed today after coming home and slept for a few hours, which means that it is finally time for the 28th Dolly Week!

Pullip Ruri chilling on pictures from Japan 2012.Another exciting thing is that I can finally announce the start of my Japan diary on Instagram next week! I will also try and update Komonogatari (100% not missing my Sunday posts), but if you want your daily dose of Theri, you are welcome to check out my insta posts! 😉 My cutie mouse Ruri in the picture above is lying in a sea of pictures from our first Japan journey in 2012. I am beyond happy to be able to visit this wonderful place again. Is it too cliché to say that my heart sings?! 😀 I also want to thank everybody here on my blog, who congratulated me on the wedding. Thank you so, so much; you have made me super happy!

My Pullip NinaPullip Nina arrived in the middle of very stressful finishing wedding touches and managed to brighten up my days immensely with her lovely face and orange toned make-up. Everything about her sweet 11 year-old face and stock surprised me! I especially love her little 2006 flip phone, which opens, closes and even comes with its own kawaii phone charm. I call my Nina Rola after the Japanese fashion model I really like.

Last week we also got two very lovely announcements for fans of Groove dolls, who love to make their own dolls: It is now official that Dal Mocha MIO kits are going to hit the stores soon! Equally great is the fact that Pullip Style started their pre-order for a bundle of 5 Pullip Mocha MIO kits. These 5 packs will be available in a limited number before single Pullip Mocha kits will be available in a couple of weeks. I won’t take the plunge for 5 kits at once, but am definitely having my heart set on at least two sets.

Sleeping Pullip Princess Serenity.I am going to finish up on my computer now to pack my suitcase! Have a lovely week, a lovely start of fall and school everyone! I hope to see you all soon!

Thank you so much for reading!

My Dolly Week #23: New Header, Feeling Fresh!

Welcome to My Dolly Week! I am not going to lie: Due to the many things that have to be done before my wedding, I am lucky, if I can sqeeze in a little bit of dolly time during the day. Our wedding is going to be pretty small, so I have no idea how other people are handling more guests-no wonder wedding planners are in such high demand! >< It definitely hurts to have my blog sit on the backburner a little bit, but the pressure lessens, the more we can cross of our list. This week I have finally found my dress and we also got my fiancé’s suit. At least there is no wondering anymore, if we will ever find something we like. And: Men have it so much easier, it’s crazy!

My Poison Girl cuties from today's photoshoot!Mayu in her new hat!Nonetheless, there were some awesome dolly moments, when Mayu’s new kitten hat from Juja Shop arrived in the mail all the way from Russia. I discovered them through María and the craftsmanship is no joke! It fits so perfectly, the mohair wool feels so nice and it immediately transforms your doll into a sweet kitty cat! She also has the most amazing hats for Blythes-those watermelon hats, I tell you! <3 I also hope that you like this rosy photograph of Ruri and Mayu and the new blog header. We are almost six months in and I wanted a slight change! 🙂

Alice du Jardin Mint with new eyechips!Classical Alice with new eyechips!Customizing my stock dolls is also really taking over. I ordered eyechips from Lullaby for Dolls and loved playing around with them. Elise (Pullip Classical Alice) is currently wearing Menthe Glaciale, while Alice (Pullip Alice du Jardin Mint Ver.) is wearing Minuit. I haven’t figured out their outfits yet, but I was so happy that the weather had cooled off for a few days that Alice got my version of a Pride & Prejudice look. There will be some more playing around next week, I promise! Continue reading My Dolly Week #23: New Header, Feeling Fresh!

My Dolly Week #22: Little Changes, Big Difference!

Welcome to the 22nd My Dolly Week post, in which we will discuss the newest announcements from Groove, promo pics for upcoming Blythes and were I can finally share the end of another dolly customizing project. Let’s start!

Pullip Marie's completely new look.My Pullip Marie got a complete makeover. At first I wanted her to get a new dark brown wig, but this flowy and gorgeous baby blue wig from Leeke practically jumped into the shopping cart on its own. It is probably the softest wig ever and its color is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. Truly lush, long and flowy, its pastel tone compliments Marie’s very light and subtle brows. It also helps that her face-up consists out of earthy tones, which go well with a pop of color!

Marie's new eyechips.Marie's CarmenRed dress.Custom doll artists Kiki & Chrysanthemum make beautiful custom eyechips for their dolls and occasionally put a few pairs of them on sale. I got a pair consisting out of two different colors, silver with a little bit of bronze and indigo blue, which sparkles beautifully. It all came together in a crazy way, when I realized that these had to be the new eyechips for Marie and her luxurious wig. Fate struck and the Carmenred Lolita Witch Dress set, which I got over half a year ago through Sugar Lattice Doll Boutique, came into my mind. Why not answer pastels with even more pastels?! Her lace-up booties are the stock boots from Pullip Cheshire Cat. I just love this feeling of making the most of a doll you really care about. And I am so happy that I lost my shyness to change up my stock dolls’ looks because it makes it all so much more fun for me!

Pullip Lupinus with new wig and eyechips.Of course there are certain dolls, I do not ever plan to change up somehow, but if there is something you do not absolutely love, you can play with your sense of aesthetics and try out new things! This also applied to me with Pullip Lupinus, whose stock is great, but she just so much more feels like my doll now. Lu looks like a fluffy bunny now, who just wants to relax in her comfy clothes all day. I told her that that’s the right way to go! Comfy is awesome, when you are as adorable as her!

Poison Girl's Dolls Mayu on fluffy blanket.Poison Girl Doll's Ruri on fluffy blanket. My custom sweeties had a cute little photo shoot on my fluffy pink blanket to celebrate the release of Miss Ruri’s official pictures on Marías website. They are so pretty and cute! I love looking at them in general because every Poison Girl on her site is so special-I will definitely keep you posted, when Mayu‘s photographs are released! My Dolly Week #21: Planning a Wedding and Relaxing with Dollies!

We are now at the end of the 21st Dolly Week and pretty slowly things are becoming more serious, when it comes to the planning of my wedding. Yesterday we were driving around all day to meet with the photographer, florist, baker and owners of the location. Now everything is swirling around in my head and I made notes, as if I was still in school to not forget tiny details like getting the right kind of napkins. The last few months I was absolutely not in the mood to get married and throw a party, but now that all friends of our tiny circle have RSVP’d, I feel extremely lucky and thankful to have the opportunity to celebrate with everybody that I love.

Ruri and Mayu from Poison Girl in their new Nénelle et Lalluli outfits!Ruri and Mayu from Poison Girl in Nénelle et Lalluli!Dolly-wise Ruri and Mayu were the first to model the most adorable bunny sets from Barcelona based Nénelle et Lalluli. Their doll clothes are beyond adorable and I am so happy to have been fast enough to buy the baby blue and baby pink version. The details are immensly sweet and lovely-look at this fluffy bunny tail! I also recommend the brand’s blog because it is so much fun to look at all their beautiful past designs. Definitely worth to follow on social media to know, when anything new is going on sale! My Dolly Week #20: Custom Week!

Welcome to the 20th ‘My Dolly Week’! I don’t think that I ever had such an intense dolly week like the last seven days! I had so much fun and learned a lot! 😀 There were also some announcements from Groove about future collaborations and I found a nice way to pre-order this autumn’s Pullips without having to pay for them in advance!

Ruri and her Toy Story poster! It was finally time for Ruri’s fashion post, since I had to wait for some things to arrive and I had a lot of fun to make a faux-diorama for her. One of my favorite pictures, I especially saved for today, is this photo above, in which she looks super proud of her Shinzi Katoh Toy Story poster (which is actually a post card). It is my dream to create more with my own hands and one day make a real diorama for my cuties!

Mayu stole my heart!Ruri’s Poison Girl’s Dolls sister Mayu arrived on Friday and she is the sweetest. I hope, I am not the only collector out there, who sometimes just relaxes by simply admiring her dolls with an absent-minded grin on her face! When I look at them, I feel like I am in a dream. 😉 I am in the middle of planning Mayu’s solo fashion shoot and a joint one with Ruri! Continue reading My Dolly Week #20: Custom Week!

Welcome, and step into Ruri’s World!

Dear readers, this is a very special and exclusive fashion post, in which Ruri welcomes you into her world-but mainly into her closet! We were having several photo shoots during the last days and hope that you will enjoy Ruri’s hottest dolly fashion trends for the summer of 2017! Miss Ruri, one of the fabulous Poison Girl’s Dolls, has Spanish roots and now resides in Central Europe. She has no plans to change her home destination ever again, which reportedly brings Theri lots of happiness!

Ruri in her room, so proud!
